Very underwhelming place to buy books. Nothing like a Chapters store. This has been Owen Sound’s bookstore for years, and it’s okay, but a full-scale Chapters would be heaven! Most of the time I’m looking for a book this store doesn’t have it, so I most often order online. You are able to order from the store and pick up there too

Friendly, knowledgeable staff...when you can find them. Store is organized and well laid out for ease of shopping, would be nice if staff were a little more available if you have specific questions. Otherwise a good selection and presentation, and cashiers are very helpful and communicate different deals and sale items well.

Nice store. Friendly service. But they only had one book by Robert B Parker and I already had it.

Great selection of books, journals, and trinkets, but man.. the staff and their attitude is something else.. I get it's the holidays and things are busy, but something needs to be done. I'll never be back to that store at this point. The 2nd last time i was in (this past summer) an older blonde staff member was super snooty.. she made me feel like i was bothering her or like she didn't have time to talk to me.. I thought maybe it was just me taking things the wrong way and thought maybe I was having a bad day subliminally and left it alone.. but this last time I was in, the same blonde staff member and a younger, long, brown haired staff member were terrible. I was looking for a specific series, literally a run in, quickly find, grab, pay and leave.. but when I asked where the series would be to the younger brown haired staff member she was a little lost, or new (which is totally fine!) The blonde staff member jumped in and said from behind the counter as she helped a different customer, I could find the individual books on a certain shelf under a certain letter, or the whole box set was under a table at the front. There were 4 tables at the front with underneath them FULL of different box sets. Once the blonde staff member told brown haired coworker and myself where we could find the books/series, the brown haired staff member and I, what I assumed, was turned to walk towards the front of the store, but when I turned around to ask if the tables were organized underneath in a certain way, the brown haired staff member was gone, the blonde staff member was still doing her thing and I was left alone to fend for myself to find this book set.. after 20 minutes and emptying out under 2 tables, being in the way, being worried about messing up their organization, apologizing profusely, all while feeling like an idiot being on my knees surrounded by a mess in the book store, I finally found what i was looking for.Let me tell you,none of the effort or the way the staff made me feel was worth it for that box set.To make matters even worse"

This is one of my favorite place! I adore books! I found some of books i was looking for from an awesome author “Jane Austen” and they had it! The service was fantastic! The lady also cashier helped us find our requests with kindness and with a smile! The service was awesome! Ty!

Nice, small bookstore. Not a very big one, but happy and homely. Had the most customers than any other store at Heritage Place. Prices are mid range- there was a decent sale on some items for the holidays. Could easily spend an hour perusing the books. Staff was friendly and helpful, and took the appropriate precautions to prevent spread of Covid.

Always great. I like that you can order and pay cash at the store and get it delivered to the house. Staff always recommends good books.
