8Mile Detroit Style Pizza
Tried their Detroit red top and dodi pizza.Both are excellent pizzas. The pepperoni on the red top pizza were crisped, giving it a nice crunch. Dodi was everyone's favorite - the mushrooms, caramelized onions, sopressata, and garlic sauce on top are so so delicious.I personally found the red top bit too salty and found myself enjoying the dodi slightly more. Otherwise I'd definitely love to try some more.The bread is light and fluffy and chewy with the edges cooked to a crisp.The cheese... is great here. Just refer to my photos on that amazing cheese pull. So so good.They also offer half and half if you want to try multiple flavours. Limited seating in store. Mostly take-out.

Actual rating: 3.5/5Lately, Detroit style deep dish pizzas have been gaining interests across the city and this branch of 8Mile is one of them that serves it.As always, you got to try the Magherita pizza first if you’re having the pizzas for the very first time. We were not disappointed at all with the Magherita pizza, which had a good crunch of the cheese in the dough and tangy sauce that was not sweet.As for the truffle pizza, it may have not been my favourite due to the cream cheese on top but I’m sure it will be appreciated by those who love cream cheese.My one and only concern about here is the price. We paid $55 inclusive of taxes for the 2 pizzas we ordered to be shared amongst 3 people, yet they weren’t exactly filling for 3 men. I know Detroit style pizzas are usually priced higher than other pizzas in the market but for more than $20/pizza with just 4 thick slices, the prices seem a bit too steep for a regular patronage. Therefore, my actual rating would be a 3.5/5, otherwise it could’ve been higher.Nevertheless, the staff working here were friendly. Despite the non-stop delivery orders that they were getting, they were still attentive to us and even offered us tap water when we asked.

Amazing deep dish pizza. You can even choose up to two different pizzas in one order and try more than one at a time. Definitely must try the Oh Canada for the meatlovers. With only one pizza I would say two people can eat decently. They have really friendly employees. Not wheelchair accessible.

I can't speak to the customer service or atmosphere as I walked in said I'm picking up a Ritual order and left all within 20 seconds.But the pizza was delicious. The Pepperoni pizza is savoury. The Pepperoni caps crisp up nicely. The sauce is fresh and has the right balance of sweetness to tartness. But the dough and the crispy crust it the best part. The boarder is the best part of the pizza, but not to shade the doughy interior.The Dodi pizza is fire. Add a hot honey or siracha to the top of it, the caramelized onions, and mushrooms with the garlic sauce is the best combined. The reviews raving about the Dodi are accurate.Definitely recommend this place as one of the best Pizza joints in the downtown core.8.5/10

8Mile Detroit Style Pizza
Decided to give this place a try because of how good Descendant Detroit style pizza tastes. It was absolutely delicious and filled with unique ingredients/flavors. They have a wide range of different pizzas you can order, and if that doesn't suit your your needs, you can opt out for the build your own option. Although it may not be as crispy and chewy as the Descendant, it's definitely very unique and worth giving a try if you're into Pizza.

8Mile Detroit Style Pizza
So happy to have a Detroit style pizza in downtown Toronto. I got the Mezz and the Detroit Red Top. Both were really good even though it took me thirty minutes to get a first bite (my own fault). I loved the Mezz, the sweet from the honey balanced out the salty pepperoni and spicy jalapeño. Get the Garlic Sauce!!! It made everything 100x better. I’m definitely coming back to try others.

8Mile Detroit Style Pizza
4/5I had the red top pie and a blue cheese dip. Pizza was smaller than I was expecting but still super satisfying to me. The abundance of sauce and cheese made for a very messy eating experience, especially having it super fresh in the store still. I really like the crispy edges where the cheese overflows to the edge of the pan, that are signature of a Detroit style pizza. The blue cheese dip wasn’t very blue cheesy though and I feel like the price was a smidge high. There’s really limited space to eat there so if that’s the plan, don’t expect there to be guaranteed space. Based on this and what I said before, I’d suggest taking it to go to guarantee you eating it comfortably, and allowing it to cool down a little before eating so that you can reasonably pick it up as a slice to enjoy it.

Their pizza are really well put together. One of the best pizza in Toronto for sure.I had their Oh Canada! Nice flavours and balance of meat and cheese. Definitely an interesting spot to check out.My only complain is there so many take out or Uber people that it can be slightly annoying to sit there and have the door smashing and closing.

8Mile Detroit Style Pizza
Ordered a half and half pepperoni and classic pie! I personally felt the pepperoni half was very salty but it was good. I preferred the classic pie which I wasn’t sure about at first because it had whole cherry tomatoes in it however it was extremely delicious. The sauce was so yummy and the crust was crunchy on the outside and dough was very tasty. I had about 2.5 pieces and was full. Ate the rest the next day and it was just as tasty heated up in the oven. It is a perfect size pizza for 1 person.I also ordered the garlic sauce to try (never got it though) and the carrot caramel cheesecake. Wow that was so good the caramel is delicious and I thought the base was pretty damn good too. Would recommend!
