A decent sugar shar about 40-50 mins from Montreal. Great place for families to share a sugary meal. It feels a bit over priced for the variety of food the have, but it's seems the prices are pretty much same across all the sugar shacks

Saturday April 8th 2023 in Mont Saint-Grégoire, QCOur party of three adults, one senior included, was on time for reservation at 11am; weren't seated until 11:20 The cleaning crew lacked direction and experience despite the site having opened two weeks prior. It's hard to understand this since the hall was only about ⅔ full.It can seat 200 to 250 people at any one time, generous room between tables for wheelchairs and high chairs. However ... excellent table service & various all-you-can-eat traditional French-Canadian sugar shack quality of food made up for it.The only drawback was extremely loud pop music playing from a hall at least 200 yards from our table, making conversations difficult at times. In another building, maple taffy served on snow was available at no extra charge. Yummy!!Viewing of small barnyard animals, including deer, was a bit further. A horse-drawn ($) vehicle wanders in the woods so you can see tapped maple trees with the traditional sap buckets attached.Adult 40$CA Seniors 38$CA for all you can eat. Children's admission?Reservations are a must!

A perfect place to visit in the end of winter. The food is absolutely tasty and classic for the maple sirop harvest tradition. You buy a ticket and it’s all included. The price is fair! Kids loved it a lot! Horse ride tour is a part of the feast. Maple sirop candy on ice - a magic and delicious experience! ❤️

Good sugar shack near Montreal. Service is fast if reservations are made and we went a day where it wasn't particularly packed. The ambiance and the decoration is rustic and comfg. The food itself is standard sugar shack fare, the offering isn't as as diverse as other sugar shacks but everything is very tasty except the deserts that are quite standard. The service is fast and friendly. Overall, a good choice in the already big offering of sugar shacks in the vicinity.

While the food was good enough, this place is so tacky. A dancing room with a dj with terrible music and disco lights, a fake tattoo booth and beer pitchers. And the dining room itself is just like a big cafeteria, no ambiance, no folklore music, no decor. Sit down, eat, leave. There's thousands of Cabanes à Sucre like this one in Quebec, maybe that's your thing but it's not mine. There's nothing here to represent any part of Quebec's rich heritage.

Ok who visits the Montreal area in the spring and doesn’t want to enjoy fresh maple syrup? You do! You truly do. All you can eat and let me tell ya ya wanna have an empty stomach. I haven’t been in the area at this time of year for over 4 yrs now. They added bacon to the menu!!!!! And this bacon is soooo good. The eggs are fluffy, pour that maple syrup on them for extra deliciousness. The ham(two different varieties) is succulent and juicy. The beans are so jam packed filled with flavour. They also serve pea soup and it is wonderful. My only disappointment is that they used to have small maple sugar tartelettes and now it’s a far less good as just a regular sugar cream pie. I haven’t included the full menu here but it can be found online. Plus this place has the taffy poured in the snow in a separate building so it’s unlimited. Go as much as you want. There is a fire pit, horse sleigh rides and a park for the kids, a dance hall, face painting for the kids. The restaurant area is noisy but that’s only because they are so jam packed full and no wonder. You’ll understand once you go. If you wanna see a video of the taffy just go to my TikTok (timbitqueen) and see how good it looks. (Shameless plug lol). So go and review as well. You’ll say all the same things I said.
