La Maison Saigon 54

It was my first time visiting the restaurant since the new ownership, and it feels like a step up from what it was before.The ingredients were really fresh. In particular, the beef slices were more meaty than the usual thin slices you get at pho restaurants.The staff were also really friendly, and the owner Nick would always stop by to refill our tea!I will definitely be returning in the future.

As per my kids, great smoothies and yummy pho. I ordered the seafood and vegetables noodle soup which was also good. The vegetables were well cooked unlike many other pho places. Friendly service, bright and clean.

Decided to give a new Vietnamese/Cambodian place, La Maison Saigon 54, a go.Standard menu. Three pho sizes: regular ($13.25), large ($15.25) and XL ($16.25).- Deep fried spring rolls ($7.95 for 2) - didn’t try but the spring rolls were tiny.- Herbs - basil, cooked bean sprouts and lime wedges.- Bun bo hue ($15.25 large) - good variety of meats but unfortunately, they gave us two pieces of beef gone bad. First time experiencing that. Disappointing broth; no depth, lacklustre. A well below average BBH.- Hu tieu bo kho ($15.75 large) - beef pieces were overcooked. Thought we were getting bo kho but it wasn’t a stew. No carrots.- Pho ga ($13.25 regular) - J asked for his broth to be spicy. Was told his bowl was okay. Regular size is closer to a small.No plans to go back to LMS 54. 2.5 stars.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was here! Stopped in on a whim and stayed for dinner. Spring rolls. Oh my!! Vermicelli with chicken and pork were out dishes. Very tasty. A simple place but we’ll worth it!

Delicious! Very good service and even more delicious food. I can’t recommend the fried squid enough, our table got it as a side dish with a combo and everyone regretted not getting a full order of it!The Pho was delicious as well. We will visit whenever we’re in the neighbourhood.

Best pork banh mi of my entire life; the bun is crispy, yet soft, toasted to perfection. The pork was juicy and packed into the sandwich, letting the juices soak into the soft bun interior. Combined with the blend of fresh produce and pickled vegetables, the sandwich gave my taste buds an out-of-world experience. Highly recommend. Excellent service by my server with the glasses and cool haircut

Tried out this new place in South Van and it didn't disappoint!Really clean and nice ambience. Service was fast!Ordered the Luc lac, perfectly seasoned and portions are very generous. I ordered my egg to be a little over hard but can have it runny depending on your preference.The chicken wings were also great, well-seasoned and perfect with the sauce. Order half if you're alone. The full might be too much for one.The pho was also excellent and the broth was tasty!I'd come back again!

Great service, friendly and very welcoming. The portion size was adequately large and had great flavours. Glad there's there's more options around instead of going to get burgers all the time, not that there's anything wrong with that... will still get burgers, but with pho in the mix

Update: I’m disappointed - the small size is now the regular and the regular is an up charge for a large. Within a month this place went from a good deal to ??? Too bad. Was a good deal while it lasted .Food is excellent and prices were too. Vegetable / salad rolls are excellent . It was Highly recommended. Now it’s an ok choice
