I was stranded in Boston Bar after I got my vehicle stuck in deep snow due to a snowstorm. The staff were very accommodating and let me stay for several hours until I was able to get a tow. Very kind people.

After a hard day of motorbiking in +30 C temps, we walked into the restaurant later in the evening. The owner had the lights off. He said come in I’ll make you a great meal. He made both me and my son a great plate of lamb shank, rice, salad, and potatoes. It was a great meal. The beers tasted good and were cold, and the blueberry pie is great! After some great conversation with the owner and full bellies, we hopped on our bikes good as new. Thanks for the great food, great company and awesome experience. It’s a gem of a place!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. On Boxing Day 2022 when the highway was shut down ahead of us due to falling ice, and behind us due to an avalanche. We called around looking for an open restaurant. This place wasn’t open but the owner said come on down and I’ll cook you a meal anyways… He made us a great breakfast and we hung out for a while until the highway reopened. Super nice people and a great experience!

Overpriced. 1 pancake was 18.99 and was as thin as a piece of paper and hard as rock. New owners is the reason. 1 person taking orders and cooking while watching a young child. . Used to be a nice place. Worker was very nice but not a very good cook. Unfortunately won't be coming back after coming for 30 plus years.

On a recommendation, I drove to the restaurant with the deliberate intention of trying a piece of their homemade pie. The waitress suggested I try the Cherry Meringue pie. So I did. And, WOW, it did not disappoint. It was beyond good!! Same graham cracker base as in a Lemon Meringue but the real difference came with the fresh cherries in meringue. The overall combination made it a taste bud extravaganza!! Well done!!

May 2023. Instead of having the Mountain mushroom burger with chips, my wife asked for just sauteed mushroom for lunch (no bun, nor chips). When her meal arrived it was just a tiny portion of mushroom (may be equivalent to the amount in the burger), yet the owner had the audacity to charge the full price. We would have no qualms to pay full price if the owner had substituted the bun and chips with more mushrooms. My beef dip came with thin slices of meat and the caesar salad had very watered down dressing with a few strands of cheese. Where was the grated Parmesan cheese ? Make up your own conclusion whether you want to take a chance with this establishment.

May 2023After reading all those excellent reviews, we thought it would be a great place to have lunch. When we arrived, we were the only 4 customers. Since I heard so much about the buffalo wings, I thought I should try it. Since I already ordered the Mighty Mountain Mushrooms burger, I didn't think I could eat too many wings. So, I ordered only 1 wing on the side. I also requested to have only the sautée mushrooms without the bun, chips or cheese, thinking that they would make up with a decent quantity of the mushrooms. The female owner was polite and took the order without any objection. When my food was served, the male owner gave me a mouthful. He complained that he had to heat up the oil just for 1 wing, (how would I know) when I should have ordered at least 4 (not specified on the menu). And he said this meal was for a kid. When I looked down, my jaws dropped. So shocked that I forgot to take a picture. He kept going on and on until I had to apologise to make him go away. Meals for other members of my company were not great either. I shall leave it to individuals to comment on that. Finally, he had the guts to charge full price for my meal. All in all, it's a very unpleasant lunch. I would never go back again but would not recommend anyone else not to go. I wouldn't like to affect their business too much. You make your own judgement whether you would like to give them a chance. It may be just a one off situation and our bad luck.

The new owners are very friendly and kind. But bathrooms were filthy. The food was not cooked or presented correctly. Chicken fingers were one maybe a chicken patty. The burger was not 100 percent beef it was a processed patty, no lettuce or tomato.Corn beef was made by toasting the bread and pan frying very little meat (maybe 3 slices) so it was dry toast and dry meatNo dressing on it or cheese. Clubhouse had no 3rd slice of bread, no lettuce the chicken looked like it had gravy scraped off it, bread did not look toasted. The only thing that was really eatable was the fries. Should think of a new menu or learn how to cook and present dishes correctly. Sanitation is important as looking at bathrooms you wonder what kitchen is like.Again they are lovely people and I hope they polish up their cooking and cleaning skills.
