Operators Training School

My time with OTS was a life changing experience. The instructors were not only the best of the best in skill & knowledge, but they spent the extra time to teach me and correct me in every step of the way. They went way up and beyond, and made me feel like I was valued and apart of something important. Not only did I leave with my ticket, and a chance at providing my family/myself with a successful and happy life in an economy that is hard finding work and an economy that is being quickly replaced by AI - I became to love being on a machine and working hard, and seeing that hard work pay off.I had 0 experience on heavy equipment before showing up to OTS - and I left with my ticket/certification, higher confidence, and the foundation to be able to build the skills to further my future.I highly recommend OTS… Even if you never thought you’d be on a job site, or working a big machine - OTS will 100% get you more then ready to enter the career. You get far more then you pay for with their courses.

I very highly recommend OTS. The instructors, Dustin, Cody, and Alex, are extremely knowledgeable and friendly guys! I really enjoyed my 2 months here, which I spent on the excavator course to start my career as a Heavy Equipment Operator. Calling it school feels like an injustice because it really was a tonne of fun. Dustin, Alex, and Cody do a great job at teaching and explaining what you need to do on each assignment they give to help you learn and expand your skills. The textbook they provide is full of very useful knowledge to help you understand all the possible work you will be doing, along with additional knowledge of what will be going on around you and hazards to be aware of as an operator on a job site. Along with all of that, they teach you how to do pre-trip checks, how to grease your machine, how to maintain fluids, and all the things to look out for before and after you start running it for the day. All in all, I had a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Operators Training School to anybody who is interested in a career as a heavy equipment operator.

I couldn't have asked for a better setting to jump start my career as a Heavy Equipment Operator.I recently got certified in operating multiple pieces of equipment through Operators Training School. They have the most amazing staff and instructors who really know what they are doing and work with you to be the best operator you can.My experience at OTS was unmatched, they will always be my first thought when someone is looking for training.

Hands down best operating school out there. Just finished my gradall training. There is a reason why they are used for training by most if not all cities and municipalities. Closest training to real life on the job that you will encounter. Lots of space to have multiple machines being used at the same time without getting in your way. This is a family run business who cares a lot for what they do and how they train you. Don Max and Cody and very knowledgeable and experienced. The experience that they have gained shows that they have been operators since a young age and have a lot of real life knowledge to teach and show. I have been out there for bobcat skid steer, backhoe, and gradall training. And looking forward to further training on more heavy equipment.

The greatest set of instructors I’ve ever met, and the owners are the coolest people I’ve ever met definitely the best heavy equipment training school in the world. They definitely have my vote. Thanks again codes and Dustin

Would recommend OTS to anybody who wants to get into a career operating equipment. You spend 30hrs a week at school in person and those are entirely spent in and around the machine whether that's operating or doing pre and post operating checks/maintenance. On top of that you are given a textbook full of information and an assignment every week that helps cover and expand on the topics you learn in person. Dustin, Alex and Cody are full of information and will do everything possible to help you become a good operator. If they see you're learning quickly they will challenge you with harder tasks and walk you through things when you're struggling. They make it a fun environment to be in. It was hard to even refer to the experience as school" because I've never been one to wake up and be excited to attend school. Overall it was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone interested

As a former student, I absolutely recommend this school to prepare and provide you with the skills required to get started. The team of instructors are knowledgeable and competent within their scope of practice. They made me feel comfortable from my first hour of class untill the end of my course. The school picks up random jobs off school property and I was able to gain even more valuable experience that way. They have a variety of different sized equipment to train you on so you will be ready and confident to start your new career upon certification. Big Thanks to Cody ,Garth, Dustin ,Alex , Kelly and Josh for making it a great experience .( PS ,Garth I'll be returning to play you that game of crib soon )

What a great experience! If I had the option to give more stars, I would have already done it. OTS have a great system for all students. Kelly and the office were amazing with communication while applying. Cody, Dustin, and Alex; the instructors were exceptional, hands on training, clear instructions, and great attitude made the learning experience unforgettable. We can not forget Garth their mechanic, always up to date with maintenance on the machines. Hours on the machine rather than hours in the text books helped build confidence while learning to operate the machine. Thank you to OTS! I highly recommend this school for anyone who is interested in being an operator, or just want to update their skills!

My experience at this school was amazing, I had a lot of fun and learned a lot in a short amount of time. Met some really cool people and made some friends. I found the whole course very intersting and I really enjoyed the time I got to spend there. I would reccomend this school to anybody that wants to get into operating heavy machinery. Big respect to all the staff of OTS for being such great people! Big shoutout to Alex, Dustin and Cody for being great teachers, they are some very nice, cool people and made my experience a lot of fun. Thanks to Garth for keeping everything running smooth and doing maintenance. I really appreciate Kelly and Dannielle in the office for making my registration and payment very easy. I am definitely interested to come back to learn other machines.

OTS is a great school! Their instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and will help you learn to operate heavy equipment safely. They build your skills with excellent quality advice and equipment exercises. Everything from pre-trip inspections, digging trenches with benches and slopes, counter rotations and my favorite, Road to nowhere. They also teach you to grease and maintain your equipment properly.Not only the instructors are awesome, so are the students there. I met and acquired some great friends through my time in the course and had a blast when the school does their Skills Competition with the other students.If you're looking for a great school for entry level operating or to brush up your skills, I highly recommend OTS for your heavy equipment operating needs.
