I wanted to return a tablecloth I purchased the day before. The tablecloth was dirty when I opened the package. The employee talked rudely to me and told me they do not accept tablecloth return because the package is open. When I told her it was already dirty she told me to wash it. Clearly someone returned it and they sold it to me. So why they did not accept my return!!. I wasn't told that they do not accept a return because of covid and it is not written in the receipt and not writtened in the store anywhere. I am mostly sad for the way the employee talked to me..very rude and aggressive. She did not even say sorry that they sold me a dirty tablecloth. I will never shop there again.

Stay away from here, this place is awful!!!! I went in to buy a coffee grinder which is a very simple thing, and I had a terrible experience. I had never been into Stokes before so I went in to look for a coffee grinder while my wife was shopping at another store. I found two, one was manual and another electric. I asked if I could return the manual one if I didn't like it (and I would purchase the electric one). The woman suddenly became very angry at me because of this question and began yelling at me. I left immediately and bought one elsewhere. Atrocious customer service. Go anywhere else but here, there's lots of kitchen stores and online stores that won't harass and demean you for trying to buy their products.

I personally had never heard of Stokes before.But then I recieved two gifts from Stokes from family. Except they were both the same thing. A stand mixer. One was mint and one was silver, so I planned on returning the silver since the mint matched all my other kitchenCounter top appliances. My in laws couldn't find the receipt. But I thought no biggie, this item is an exclusive Stokes product. Surely they will give me a gift card at least. Nope. In store exchange only. I had to suddenly find $130 dollars of kitchen products, which I decided not to do. My mom found the receipt for the mint mixer. But this is the one I wanted to keep. Great,I thought. I will return the mint one with the receipt, and then I will exchange the silver one that has no receipt for the mint one I had just returned. I talked to an associate on the phone and she said it will probably work. Just come in tomorrow when my manager is here. So my mother and I drove from east Windsor to South, only to arrive and be told by an very aggressive manager that there are no returns the week of boxing day. I mentioned regretfully that no one told me that yesterday, and I wish they would have since we just drove out here from techumseh. She got even more defensive and implied that I was lying. I told her what happened and what I would like to do when I return. And she started raising her voice and was clearly agitated. Why I don't know. We were talking to her very calmly. She insulted us many times, and made us feel very uncomfortable. I have no desire to have any more dealings with this woman. I ended up selling the mixer on Facebook on the same day for the same price. How sad is that? Stokes, you have nice products, and you could have gained a new loyal customer. But after this little fiasco and your terrible customer service I will never return to your stores. I even called customer service 5 times, no one ever answered and I never recieved a call back. I work in customer service. My company would never treat it's clients so disgracefully. Neither would other Canadian retailers I have experience purchasing from. My advice? Stay away. Go to the bay. Even Walmart has better customer service.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I went there to buy an esspreso pot. I went home and tried it, it was leaking (Probably cheap quality) I came back to return it, the worker started to yell at me and told me don't by this again.Terrible customer service. I don't recommend anyone to buy anything from this store. If it was for me, I would give 0 star!

I love this store! It has great finds and good prices. I do NOT like the sales clerk, Mona. She is very, very pushy at the counter. I got sucked in the first time with a bunch of extras and vowed it wouldn’t happen, again. I held strong but she wouldn’t take no for an answer with the amount of add ons available. She needs to hear the word no and move on. Makes me not want to shop at this Stokes, anymore.

Went to use my gift card and they didn't know how to process a gift card... for the life of them could not figure out how to use my gift card as a form of payment.

I had saved up to buy a pot set for my mother as a gift and specifically asked the employee which pot set was best seeing as the pot sets we have previously bought would always stick. The employee directed us to a quite expensive, for a student who works for minumum wage whilst trying to pay for college, pot set which we then bought. The first thing we cook in the pot stuck even after hours of scrubbing. I go to return the gift with the original reciept and they say that because it has been opened and used that they cannot refund me the money. I explain to the lady that we specifically asked for a pot set that would not have such problems. She does not refund me my money but insists shes doing me a favor by even giving me in store credit. This all happened and was purchased in your Windsor, Ontario location of Windsor Crossing Premium Outlet Mall. Now I have 3 separate gift cards of nearly $300 for Stokes. This money could have gone to my education or family. I would appreciate if you could refund me for a product that did not function as your employee promised. @STOKESSTORES #StokesStores #Stokes
