The staff were very accommodating. The location was ideal right on the main strip. We were able to bring our dog and they even provided us with assistance for caring for our mutt. This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a spacious, well priced comfortable accommodation right near the water this is the place to go. The pool was lovely. We were there the same time as a wedding was going on. The staff offered us different accommodations incase the noise was too much. We didn’t hear a thing and woke up to a clean backyard/pool. The only downside was the bar/restaurant wasn’t open due to COViD restrictions; when it looked like a beautiful area to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. We will 100% be going back to this same spot time and time again.

lovely stay, its more like a bed and breakfast but converted into a hotel cos there are more than 25+ rooms… Great location in a small town! the room were clean and nice !! big rooms with ample space to walk around !! we didnt get the lake view rooms but it was good enough !! the restaurant is closed due to manpower issues but there are a few bristo and bars around the town that you can pick up food from.. walking distance. The hotel has a pool but no elevator.. very old hotel but maintained well. a short walk from the hotel, there is a sitting area in front of the lake.. The couple who run this hotel are very sweet !!! there is a simple morning breakfast with hard boil eggs, fresh waffles, some breads, juices and coffee.. very peaceful stay! definitely recommend this hotel for your stay !!!

On first look, it was a charming hotel, but as our stay progressed it was apparent that it was not quite up to snuff. Because we arrived early our room was not quite ready which was OK, we decided to grab our bathing suits and go for a swim in the pool. To get to the pool was a challenge as it was 3 levels below the reception desk. No elevators in the building at all and just a steep sketchy path down either sides of hotel. The changing rooms/bathroom had no running water and were not very clean. The pool itself was nice, a good temperature and reasonably clean, some broken bits of pool toys in the water and on the deck and a underwater pool light was sitting on the deck, hopefully with no current going to it as the connection (marrettes, not waterproof) was not enclosed in any sort of electrical box.When we went up to the room, we were initially pleased, it was spacious, looked clean and had an old world charm. However, in the bathroom there was blood on the underside of the toilet seat. The lamps and clock radio on one side of the bed were not plugged in, in fact there was no outlet! The Wi-Fi did not work in the room, although it did in the hall and other areas of the hotel. The TV was small and not properly configured for the cable box. The biggest issue was that there was no anti-slip material in the bathtub. I have mobility issues so this was very dangerous, but fortunately I was warned by my wife who doesn't and had showered first. I could have been seriously injured! We did complain to the front desk about the Wi-Fi and he just shrugged it off saying that it worked there before. We decided to cut our stay short and checked out the next morning forfeiting a nights stay.

Very old run down building with little renovation since the 40s. The rooms didn’t seem very clean and we found many broken/ripped items that have been neglected. The breakfast has very poor choices. (Boiled eggs, Cheerios, rice crispy, waffles bagels and toast) not ideal for anyone with dietary restrictions!The location was great on the towns Main Street with many little boutique and a couple restaurants.

I really dont understand the bad ratings. The owner was really charming and nice, the rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. The price is reasonable. The atmosphere was very charming and the included breakfast not bed. Even though there were only 4 people in the whole hotel, the owner wanted to cook us a meal in the evening, despite the closed kitchen. Very charming, will come again.

If you're looking for fresh and clean rooms without any bad smells and a well kept facility this is the right place.It's a nice break away from the big brand hotels while still having the cleanliness and professionalism that you expect in a modern hotel. As you can see in the pictures, it stays true to the classic look and feel that we love about Montebello. We got the classic King suite and the bed was a full size king and very comfortable.The owners are a wonderful couple who also provide authentic Indian cuisine. You'll get to experience the delicious aromas when you walk past the restaurant. It's a must try. We love the Thali plate because it allowed us to taste a little bit of everything.We highly recommend trying it out.
