Distinctively Paint

I was looking to get my kitchen cabinets painted. I set up a phone appointment with this company. After some discussion on what I wanted to achieve, Calla made some recommendations to me which didn't involve painting. She recommended another company that would achieve what I wanted. They were not just out to make a buck and have a dissatisfied customer. Hard to find a company that actually cares these days. I would give them 10/10 if I could!

We updated our kitchen cabinets to brighten up our space and I'm really happy with the way they turned out. There were some hiccups with colour matching along the way but Distinctively Paint was excellent at ensuring the right colour was found. From start to finish, the staff were all very friendly, professional and provided great customer service, with Diego always keeping me updated on progress. Brennan is a true gem and was so great at explaining things and wanting to make sure I was completely satisfied before he left on the final day. Calla, Karl and his crew were also great to work with. I would definitely recommend this local company.

An excellent company! Beginning with Jacki (met her at the Home Show at BMO), to Calla who came to our home and helped with plan/colour choices. We had our kitchen cabinets, new pantry door, and island painted. Diego and his team did a magnificent job and were completely professional - on time, clean, and organized. We liked them so much, we hired then again to come in to paint our office wall unit. Not completed yet - will post again. Super grateful! Would highly recommend. I just wanted to share my experience with Calla and her team. I was skeptical at first to refinish our kitchen cabinets but Calla reassured me every step of the way. She was dedicated to my project and I am extremely happy with my refinished kitchen and bathroom vanities. Any questions or tweaking of my project was answered in a timely and professional manner. Calla and her team went above and beyond and on budget! I would whole heartedly recommend Calla and her team for any painting needs.

We had our cabinets painted a few weeks ago and it looks like a brand new kitchen! We are super happy with the end result. Everyone at Distinctively Paint was great to work with from choosing paint colours to the installation. The only negative was that it took a few weeks to get our cabinet doors back but they let us know this up front so there were no surprises. We would definitely use them again!

If you like a job well done with good communication, this isn’t the company for you!Full of excuses, terrible communication, overall bad company management, and the work is sub par at best.I only included a few pictures as there’s far too many to post.We had cabinets done, trim, banister/railings front/back doors, closets, powder room/bathroom and walls on our main floor. There was an issue with EVERYTHING except the banister/railings. Multiple trips into our home to “fix” the issues. Every time something was missed or forgotten. The workers used our home as a place to store their freshly caught fish in our fridge without asking, they left a ladder in our yard for over a week, they didn’t communicate for 2 months when repairs were still needed and finally agreed to give us a small discount for our troubles. Even had they discounted it 100% it still wouldn’t be worth the hassle.

We decided to upgrade out 40yr old kitchen by painting the original maple cabinets. We are extremely happy with the end result of having our kitchen cabinets painted by Distinctively Paint. Every step of the process was handled with professional high quality workmanship. We met with Calla in our kitchen picked colors and we were given a date for the crew to arrive. The prep crew arrived on schedule and before anything stared they covered the floor with drop cloths and proceeded to remove cabinet doors and tape off the cabinets in prep for paint. Day 2 crew showed up and finished off taping and isolated the kitchen to contain smell and dust. They sprayed and finished the cleanup and were out by 430. One week later the cabinet doors were finished and installed in a couple hours, a couple small touch ups and the job was completed. Everyone we had contact with was professional and focused on providing the best service and finished product possible. What a transformation of a 80’s kitchen to a modern clean look.

Distinctively Paint helped us match our upper cabinets to the lowers (colour-wise). We were on a tight budget, and wanted to be rid of the oak uppers as we had already replaced the lowers ourselves. Due to our small number of doors, it was recommended that we buy new doors and have them painted, so we did. We couldn't be more pleased with the result. Calla and Diego went over and above and had this job done in no time! They were very professional and pleasurable to work with.I don't have a great before pic, but this gives a good enough idea.Highly recommend this company!

This company is amazing. They did our kitchen cabinets 2 years ago. We had an issue with the paint cracking. One phone call, no excuses, they made it right. All I can say is what a wonderful company and people to deal with. Thanks Calle and Diego for your excellent service. K Reynolds.

Distinctively Paint repainted my cabinets in early 2022. There were some scheduling challenges due to COVID, but once work started they worked efficiently and professionally. Most impressive is how they handled a couple of issues that came up - they immediately worked with me to come up with a solution. This even extended to an issue that came up months later.
