Soley Shoes

I looked everywhere for an excellent pair of kitchen shoes and this place has the best ones to get. The moment I put them on, I knew they're gonna last for years to come. Thank you for helping to get them perfectly fitted, it's awesome!

Service was fine when I was buying the shoes but 2 days later when I was returning for a credit it was a whole different story. I felt like she just wanted to be rid of me and except for her and I there were no other customers so she wasn’t busy. When I tried a pair on she just looked over the counter and said they fit. When I got home she gave me a slip for $23 , that’s what the new pair cost over and above what I paid for the other pair 2 days before. So even if I decide within my 14 days that I want to return I couldn’t get anything but $23 in credit. Lesson learned and I won’t be back. Won’t surprise me when they go under even Amazon has better customer service. And by the way the same shoes.

My wife went to visit a friend in New Glasgow 2 days ago and both decided to go shopping for shoes at Soley's. As they were checking some shoes my daughter called her via Facetime. As she answered the phone the sales clerk in attendance that day screaming and in a very aggressive tone demanded the phone was not to be used to take pictures. When she was told there were no pictures taken but indeed was a Facetime call she refused to apologize and directed their complains to the owner of the establishment. His answer was you were rude too for talking a foreign language among yourselves while in the store". This individual is certainly a Xenophobic but I doubt he knows the meaning of the word."

Worst customer service I have experienced. Owner doesn’t honour the return policy even though he stamps on the receipt you have 14 days to return for store credit. Store owner is very rude. I would never go back to this store.

The worker and owner are extremely rude and do not seem to care for customers. I honestly do not know how they stay in business. I came in with my daughter to look for shoes. They insisted on us using hand sanitizer which we do not use for the chemicals. I explained that we had just washed our hands but they demanded we leave if we did not use their sanitizer! Very creepy. I let them know I would be letting others customers know about this and they did not seem like they cared about that what so ever. I do not suggest shopping there.

The staff (Janice) made my day, very friendly and helpful. When she found out we were new to Nova Scotia she welcomed us, and told us about what New Glasgow downtown had to offer!

Went in today with my 10 year old daughter looking for winter boots. The lady behind the cash welcomed her, went and got the boots we thought we wanted. My little girl expressed her dislike for unicorns on her clothes. The employee stands up exclaims I know exactly what you want" she proceeds to the back

Disgusting customer service! When my dad couldn't hear this lady mocked him. At her age she should know better.

Today was my first visit to Soley Shoes and I couldn't have had a better experience. Janice was overly helpful and we had a great chat . I saw more footwear I would like to get in the future so I will for sure be visiting this store again. Thank you for the wonderful service and selection.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. The clerk/manager was abrasive and rude to us and to other customers in the store. She made snide comments after my partner tried to grab a size from a stack of shoes on their sales floor. She yelled at her to not grab things for herself but to ask for assistance, yet the worker was behind the front counter not offering assistance and just barking out directions to customers. We chose to leave and as we were walking out she said “we’re not Payless”. I will never give this store a dime and will make sure others hear about this horrible place. Based on other reviews I have read this is normal behavior for staff here.
