I hate that they have self checkout and almost never anyone manning the cash.

Self checkout, employees hide in the back of the store.They should have a cashier in front and be available. Customers should have the choice to pay with cashier or self-out. They don’t give a choice and employees are far away from the cash register and hiding. Don’t impose it.

Since they renovated the check out experience has gotten much better! The store is clean and well stocked. The staff is helpful.

Handy place for many daily inexpensive items. These kind of operations have been around in various forms since the beginning of shopping. Now this chain franchise has brought it to a new level. Whatever item you might need, pass by a Dollarama first to see if they can fill that need .
