Joanne transformed our barren backyard into a colourful oasis, with trees, flowers, and water features. She monitored every step of the installation and helped us with irrigation and other water issues. We will hire Joanne again to design and install our front yard/front entrance. She's amazing! And buy her book ... Down the Garden Path ... the month-by-month to do guide is very helpful and really lessened my stress!

We recently hired Joanne to design a garden plan for us. We're novice gardeners and wanted a backyard that was low cost and easy to maintain. She's given us just what we need: something simple but beautiful in its time. Our entire interaction with her was extremely positive: she answered all our questions, checked in about what we wanted, gave us practical ideas (even for areas that were beyond the scope of her work), and helped us weigh our options in terms of DIY vs professional services. When we went to buy trees at the nursery, we found that she had already marked out our trees! She brought her network to our benefit and gave us good contacts at the nursery, even got us quotes from independent landscapers. We couldn't be happier with her services!!

We hired Joanne to design a landscape plan for our backyard. We bought our house a year ago and the backyard did not have any trees or plants. A totally blank canvass! Joanne came to our place to see the yard first hand and then with our input devised an oasis for our backyard. She went on to oversee the project after we hired a landscaper to carry out the work. We are so happy with the work that Joanne from Down2Earth did for us. During the pandemic we initially reached out after going through her Instagram feed @joanneshaw_d2. So much great information! She arrived to our property (didn't have to come in) and took measurements. We then connected on Zoom and went over our backyard. We wanted a game plan / guide for direction to renovate our yard ourselves. We decided not to.Working from home, homeschooling, and doing our own yard... We would probably be done in a couple of years.Joanne connected us to Paver King (who we will be adding a stellar review on their Google). She was hands on... They were on time and gave us the backyard of our dreams in 2 days!We definitely want Down2Earth and Paver King back next year as we move on to part 2 next Spring... The front yard!Hire Down2Earth!!

Great experience with Down2Earth! We wanted to tackle a landscape project in our backyard, however couldn't envision how all our ideas could come together. She worked with our needs and obstacles, and helped put our vision on paper. We now have a complete, professional design that is easy to follow. I am certain she saved us money and time in the long run as we won't second guess/change work part way through the job.

Thanks Joanne for designing a garden I can love and enjoy. Even though I am a garden club member, getting the textures, colours, and layers correct is time consuming work and it was such a treat to have it done for me. Removing the clay and adding quality soil and mulch will make my upkeep job much easier. I love your native plant choices and the birds in the Serviceberry Tree are a joy to watch! (I definitely needed your help to deliver and to plant the trees and shrubs) It's a dream!
