Less than 1 star. Did mobile pick up on a Saturday. Got to location with 3 15’ cube vans on-site. Received code to lock box only to find empty. Called customer service who kept putting on hold and giving no answers. Got second lockbox code to find it empty as well. Wasted over 3 hours total with no keys to any truck. Ended up getting full refund.

Overcharged me for gas even though I returned at same level. Truck was filthy and full of mud

good service here. my issue was with Uhaul rental though. booked well ahead of time and was given a 20 foot truck instead of a 26 foot truck. however the service and people were very understanding here and I would deal with them again because of their customer service skills!

My beef is definitely with Uhaul but not this location. Uhaul called me yesterday only to tell me they are changing not only my rental trailer and size but my location. They moved to to a different location over an hour and a half away! Unacceptable! They were not sympathetic either. I originally reserved a 5x8 trailer with an added purchase for a trailer ball. They called me and told me they no longer had that size trailer and if I wanted a trailer, I had to get the 6x12 which was twice as much! I ended up finding this Port Hope location that had the actual size I needed. I was able to transfer my reservation here after some back and forth with Uhaul and rushed to get there before they closed. I had to drive all the way from Toronto. When I got there, they did not have the ball attachment (no fault of their own), as they are a small furniture store. Uhaul messed up again. Long story story, Uhaul ended up refunding the ball mount as well as gave me the $50 credit they owed.The people here at this store were so nice, kind and very understanding of my situation. They stayed open a bit later to help me sort out everything. Since they did not have the ball mount, they gave me directions to a local hardware store where I was able to find everything I need. The lady at the front desk was very kind and patient with me and there were two gentlemen who waited for me well past their closing time, to make sure my trailer was attached properly. They was also very kind and generous and helped me get set up for the road. After a horrible experience with Uhaul, the on-site staff at this location just made everything better and I am entirely grateful for them.
