Waited 2 hours for 2 poutines without any apology or remark after asking multiple times

Comfortable clean room, pleasant staff. However...No power from 9pm till late morning !!!!This meant we could make tea in our room with our travel kettle (nor is anything open for breakfast) .Worse: no water when the power is off - a single bucket for flushing.Why not a water tank up the hill for 24 hr water by gravity. It is not rocket science.Overpriced for what you get.

Great setting in False Bay. Beautiful ocean view. The new owners have created a welcoming environment with a living room area with a pellet wood stove and TV with sports. The beer selection and food are really good. Can't wait to go back.

Good staff and great location! It’s a reasonable choice if you only want to stay in this island for one night and explore it.But the electric and water supply are not stable in the Non-Peak Season. You’d better bring some food, drinking water, shampoo and soap.

I booked 8 rooms for my staff for a week long project on the island. Staff were very helpful coordinating all the rooms, along with breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. The food was great, and the crew was happy to find out there is now power through the night!

Stopped here for a drink on the deck. Scenic and colourful. Some of the local hippies appeared to have time-travelled from 1970.

Rustic, it's an island! The power gets turned off at night. The hotel provides flash lights and water to flush the toilet. Bring your own shampoo and soap, there is only a little bar of soap at the hotel. The bed are a queen size and hard and a little squeaky. But the ocean view is awesome. The food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar is pretty expensive, dinner ranges from $18 -$28 a plate. We paid $60 for a salad, 2 pieces fish and chips and two beers. All rooms are above the bar, the night we were there, the was a band playing which finished at midnight, that was ok, everyone left then at 1am karaoke started with a few island folk which ended at 3am. So not the best night for us. Most likely to never return.

New owners, I was told rooms have been renovated, lunch was excellent ,friendly service.

Did not stay here, but ate at pub. Solid burger, nice beers. Cash only, there is ATM on site.
