Wingate by Wyndham Edmonton West

After checking into a not-so-nice hotel, we stopped here at the Wingate in Edmonton and it was a life saver! The front staff are super personable and gave us the best rate possible for our two nights. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. And the waterslide was fun - we felt like kids again going down it! Will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

We are loyal to Wingate properties for a reason! The rooms are affordable, large and CLEAN!! every Wingate property we have stayed in has always been exceptionally clean. This property has a nice pool/ waterpark area with a very large hot tub. Aside from the screaming children (clearly living their best lives), it perfect. Breakfast is include. There are lots of options and the staff are on top of refilling everything as it's getting low! We love Wingate and you will too!

This hotel was clean friendly and very fun to stay at. Their waterpark was a favourite for our kids. The rooms were comfortable slightly outdated but very clean. We appreciated the mini fridge and microwave in our rooms. The front desk staff and all the staff for that matter were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Great location with a timmies close by and close to WEM. The breakfast was great nice and convenient. We really enjoyed this hotel, and will be back soon!

They treated us like royalty, Sonya from the front desk was very happy to do whatever she could for us. Great place to bring your children to play in the pool.

Pool and hot tub were awesome, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had and the room was clean and spacious. Staff was excellent and super accommodating of our family and pets. Will definitely be back in the future!

Having stayed at this hotel several times I was disappointed at the state of our most recent room. There were pieces of the bathtub completely missing. As in, someone had cracked the tub and peeled away sections of the tub itself where you could see the insulation below. I did report the damage upon arrival however the front desk was not very concerned. I also let them know upon check out that this room should not be allowed to be booked until the tub is replaced. I don’t imagine the hotel will address it prior to booking the room again because if they had appropriate standards for their rooms, they wouldn’t have put my family in there in the first place. This used to be such a great family hotel but I think that was our last stay.

This facility is incredibly dated. We booked a jacuzzi suite and were disgusted with the bathroom and jacuzzi in general. We expected a lot better for what we paid. Our room was dirty, stains on the walls, spilled food on the furniture, the kitchenette faucet was broken, the fridge stunk, air conditioners packed with dust and stunk, the carpet had stains and bits of gravel in it, the bathroom caulking was disgusting and we didn't even use the jacuzzi due to the state of cleanliness. There were hidden fees on our invoice that I did not agree to - like a marketing fee. Why are guests paying for your marketing? Front desk was confused by my reservation and it was a long wait to get it resolved at check-in. Breakfast quality was minimal. The eggs (or omelets) were rock hard and nasty. The pool area was dirty, had band-aids floating around, fake nails laying on the ground, hair clumps in the hot tub and way too much foam in the water. The kids liked the waterslide and that was about it. I wouldn't stay here again.
