We could not have been treated better when our daughter Sarah passed away. We will always be grateful to the Dennings family for making us feel so important and for treating Sarah was so much dignity. Thank you for being a part of my community and thank you for helping our family at the start of our grief journey. We are all indebted to your sincere kindness.

It is rare that I post reviews but, after months of cosideration, I feel compelled to do so. When we lose someone we love (in this case, my Father), it is a very emotional time and it can be made worse when family members (and others) act inappropriately or in an abusive manner. The Denning Family are close personal friends with an in-law who has never liked me since she married into my (former) 'family' and therefore, I was the black sheep before the employees and Owner had even met or spoken with me. As the Daughter to the deceased, I should have been treated with kindness and respect. This was not the case. It is highly unprofessional to take sides in a situation such as this and I was forced to hold my tongue out of respect for my Father but this horribly negative experience will stay with me for the rest of my life. From the moment Bill and Ashley arrived at my Father's residence (referring to his roommate as his 'wife's which she was NOT), to being excluded from being a part of ANY of the arrangements (which was not my Father's wish), to the moment I arrived from 5 hours away to the viewing as Ashley tried to ask me to leave the room (I have a witness to this - a friend from childhood who was HORRIFIED by the way I was treated) to being interrupted at the grave side during my eulogy (other than Bill, I was the only one to speak which I fought to do in a polite manner in spite of all that I was enduring). Songs that I was ASKED to select were not played (songs that meant something to my PARENTS) and childish games were played when it came to excluding important photos from the video, trying to over charge me for the video (when the only other sibling was not charged), the charity that my Dad asked that donations be sent to in honor of all of his years of Volunteering was not included on the funeral card etc. The list goes on and on re the hurtful things that transpired during one of the most challenging times in my life. In situations such as this, funeral directors and employees should be IMPARTIAL and they should conduct themselves in a PROFESSIONAL manner. Shame on you both, Bill and Ashley. I will go on to say that I was grateful to be permitted to follow the vehicle that transported my Father from West Lorne to Scarborough to our family plot as well for the fact that Bill and Ashley drove by the house where my Father grew up. That was special and my Father would also have been grateful. My words are not meant to be vindictive but rather to express the seriousness of what transpired here as it has changed me forever. My Dad would have been devastated and angry that his only Daughter was treated this way. I feel that I am owed an apology. RIP Dad. I am sorry that your wishes were NOT followed after you did so much to ensure that those around you knew exactly what they were.
