Creature Comforts Dog Training

So happy we found this group to help train our pup! Our trainer is super gentle with our pup and is so aware of his stressors/triggers, that it makes his day more enjoyable. We've been noticing a big improvement with our pup and it's all thanks to the trainers at Creatures of Comfort :)

Joey is fantastic. My dog is a very self-directed, clever, stubborn rescue and Joey taught him to be more aware of his humans and to respond to cues – not an easy feat! And she did this all with positive reinforcement. It has made a huge difference for us and paved the way for continued training. Our dog now responds much more openly to the ongoing training that I try to provide, and I thank Joey for this. Joey is also very open to providing advice on a range of issues, and shows tremendous commitment to her work. She’s a real gem - I highly recommend Creature Comforts.

Had my puppy boarded with Joey for a week while I went away, and it was such a positive experience! It was my first time having to board my dog so I was quite nervous, but Joey made me feel comfortable from our initial consultation! I received updates every single day, with a lot of cute photos so I could see exactly what my puppy was up to! I received a lot of good tips before and after the week, as well as a report on how the week went overall, and I can see a HUGE improvement in my puppy’s leash walking skills which was a major concern for me! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Creature Comforts to anyone!

We were on the hunt for a great dog trainer to help tame our Bernedoodle puppy's rambunctious energy, so she could have better walking manners and etiquette when interacting with people and other dogs. After reading so many positive reviews on Creature Comforts, we decided to take her here and we were not disappointed.Joey did an intro chat where they listened to our concerns and offered suggestions for how to improve our pups social skills. We decided on a walk-and-train program, whereby Miranda (who ended up being Halle's amazing trainer) would come and take Halle on walks 2-3x a week. She worked on brushing up on some basic skills while building other habits and new manners. Eventually they organized play dates with Joeys dog to get Halle used to playing until she was able to try out the dog park.It's been months later and I can proudly say that Halle has now graduated to being a dog park dog, and an amazing one at that! She's been so good with other animals and people. I can't thank Miranda and Joey enough for their time and patience with our poochie. I know Halle is going to miss her walks with Miranda already, I can't recommend them enough!

I am so grateful that I have found this play group for my dog. Joey has helped me to understand my pups behaviour and has helped to deescalate my own anxiety around Tucker’s aggression during play. I truly believe he will improve(he already has become more well mannered during walks and with squirrels) and I am so happy that I found Creature Comfort Dog Training. We are so lucky to have found Creature Comforts! We had recently adopted a very anxious street dog, Valpo, who was very overwhelmed by his new environment. Joey paired us with trainer Bianca who couldn't have been a better fit. Bianca was so patient with Valpo and helped him become much more confident in navigating the world around him. Bianca also helped us better understand Valpo and gave us tools to manage and work through his stressors. I truly believe Joey and Bianca care about the dogs they work with and are experts at what they do!

My puppy and I have been working with Bianca from Creature Comforts for quite a while now and it’s been great. I didn’t expect to get a reactive dog, and am very happy to have had Bianca and Joey along for the ride to help her overcome her fear responses and to help me feel more confident as an owner. Highly recommend them for training a dog at any age, but especially for puppies who may need some extra help!

I chose to board my 8 month old lab-pit mix puppy for a week with Creature Comforts Dog Training and I could not be happier with her quality of care. Joey was exceptional at identifying my dog's specific needs and she made sure they were satisfied throughout her stay. My pup could not be happier with a full week of beach trips, hikes and dog play. The best part is that Joey is a positive reinforcement trainer! My puppy learned amazing new skills through positive methods backed by science and I learned how to carry on these skills through the training plan Joey created for us!

We were so lucky to start with Joey when our boy was a puppy. Joey helped establish really important good behaviours early on through one on one puppy walk and trains. From here, Joey had our boy join group hikes where he has been able to continue to maintain good habits, get out energy, and socialize with other dogs who are a good fit for him. Joey just shows all the dogs so much love and really really cares about them. Whenever we need to work on new behaviours, Joey has the skills and experience to support us. We also benefit from continued reinforcement through boarding with Joey when we are away!

I feel so lucky to have found Creature Comforts Dog Training when searching for help with my newly adopted rescue dog. Lupine is the sweetest pup but our first few months of walks were stressful for both of us because she would pull and bark almost every time we passed another dog. Working with Joey through the Walk and Train program, Lupine has come so far in just a few months. We are now able to watch other dogs pass without losing it and greet them successfully. I've even watched her relax enough to play/interact with multiple dogs that Joey brought to my backyard as well as some new park friends. For me as a first time dog owner, Joey's explanations of what was behind Lupine's behaviour made such a difference in how I was able to respond. Once I understood that she was not aggressive, just nervous and frustrated by the leash, I felt a lot more comfortable letting her interact with dogs and satisfy her curiosity. A win for both of us! It's been so wonderful to see Lupine gain in confidence and I'm sure she was happy to see me relax. Walks are now something we both look forward to. It's obvious that Joey deeply loves dogs and celebrates each one for their unique quirks and traits. I would highly recommend Creature Comforts Dog Training!
