Mintara on Burnaby Mountain

I had a wonderful dinning experience at Mintara! The restaurant has been nicely renovated and provides a great modern yet cozy ambiance. I had the 4 course meal, which was very reasonable for their promotional price of $59. The food tasted good and the service was great as well!

Restaurant does not take walk-in. Reservation-only for now.Great view, beautiful space and delicious food.If you order the portobello & crimini mushroom ravioli, it's generous on the pine nuts.

Everything that comes with the 4-course menu was delicious, including the lobster flatbread, lobster soup, the steak, etc.It has a stunning view of Burnaby and Vancouver. I’m glad this restaurant is reopened after a long closure during covid.

We had a wonderful experience dining at this elegant establishment! The food was delicious and filling. We were constantly being refreshed with our drinks, thank you to the front of house staff. Very professional. Our compliments to the chefs too. Took a walk around the rose garden to digest our big meal. Definitely would recommend!

Went here for a quick dinner with hubby. I had the 3-course dinner for $39 if I’m not mistaken. Selection was limited, although they taste good especially when you’re hungry. 4 star as the entree wasn’t enough to feed a hungry person. I guess the price says it all, it’s affordable.Mashed potatoes are delicious and their dessert (cheesecake) is perfect.Ambiance is warm and appealing. Staff are friendly.Parking ample and nice area for family. Although it’s more upscale dining than your usual family restaurant.

We came here for the first time during Bite of Burnaby and everything was delicious! We had a 4 course meal each which in total included: lobster flatbread, lobster bisque, surf and turf, and a dessert. A few things to know are that they are open limited hours, only Thurs-Sun from 4pm-8pm, it is reservation only which can only be made 2 weeks in advance and books up quickly. They also have very limited staff so the restaurant will likely only be half full but I asked the waitress about this and she explained that they would rather serve less people and have them have a great experience rather than have it full with staff that are stretched too thin. I think this is the right approach if they can’t get more staff!The service was great and as I said, all food was delicious. The only mild complaint was that for some reason the lobster with the surf and turf was very salty. The waitress was great about it, offered to replace it and said they’ve had similar feedback before and it might be an issue with the supplier so they’re looking into it. As an alternative to replacing the lobster she gave us an extra dessert for free. All of the cocktails were also very tasty and well made. We’ll definitely come back, most likely for special occasions since the regular menu is on the higher price point.

Absolutely sublime experience. Attentive staff and modern flavour profiles on West coast cuisine. Locale has been beautifully renovated from the old Horizons

Thank you Kevin for hosting us. Such an elegant and intimate ambiance. Price is not too expensive for the amount and quality of food that you get. Overall, the view and the food makes this a truly unique restaurant and hidden gem here in Burnaby.

Had lunch at Mintara Restaurant yesterday, June 1st 2023. We used to come here for special occasions when it was Horizon's as we live locally. This place is very poorly advertised. Most of the online information is incorrect, and my husband said that trying to book a table was a nightmare. In the end he simply called the restaurant and booked for lunch on the same day. The place was practically empty! But when all was said and done, it was lovely. Great meal, reasonable price, gorgeous surroundings. City of Burnaby, or whoever is running the place needs to get the info on the website corrected. I honestly thought it was a wedding venue, only.

Pleasant experience overall. Amazing view, great food quality at an affordable price. Considering how expensive groceries and eating out has become in this town, It can't be beat.The food portion was quite big, we had the 4 course meal.It's hard to reserve a table, but I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for the ambience, view, and food.
