Barely glanced at me and was not really interested in discussing my skin concerns, but was very interested in selling the expensive skin care products The lady who was doing the sale speech spend more time than the doctor.

I have visited Dr. Sloan a couple of times and have never had a good experience. The most recent time, he was very behind on appointments and didn’t apologize for the extensive wait. Once he actually saw me, he barely looked at me or heard out my concerns. After I finished explaining everything going on, he laughed and claimed it was a slight skin irritation and then he got one of the nurses to come in to try and get me to buy a super overpriced skin cream for redness. He made me lose all hope in trying to figure out what I was going through and find something to help fix it. I went to a different dermatologist who actually listened and diagnosed me at my consult and has prescribed things that actually helped because she listened to my concerns and actually examined me. Overall, do not recommend Dr. Sloan at all!

He was in the room with me no longer than 3 minutes and barely examined me. There was no background or history of my symptoms taken, nor what remedies I had already tried. I had to force him to prescribe a cream I knew that would work after he wanted to give me something that would exacerbate the problem. When he left his nurse came in with a gift bag of soap and moisturizer and said the doctor also recommended these. I said ok. She then said, ok the $60 is payable at the front desk. Excuse me? For soap? You know, I admired the family photos on his wall when I first walked in there, but afterwards the ones of his kids in private school uniforms left a bad taste in my mouth.

I am a nurse and was appalled by the way that Dr Sloane behaved with my elderly mother. Her family doctor referred my mother to Dr Sloane to examine some suspicious spots on her back. Family history of skin cancer. The doctor did not introduce himself, briefly looked ar her faceand sprayed her with a product before preparing her with what he was planning to do. The product felt painful and was red for days. He was only in the room 5 minutes and was about to leave before examining her back, which was the purpose of her visit. She stopped him from leaving asking him to examine the problem. He stated that her back looked fine, her face had skin damage, and that for $300.00, he could remove the spots or skin tags that bothered her. He rushed into the room and out without a proper examination. He instructed her to come back the following week. We will be seeking a referral to medical professional who treats patients with respect and does a proper assessment. I had to give him one star to write this review. I would have preferred to give him no stars.

One of my worst experience!I was referred by family doctor and waited my appointment for 4 months. The day of my appointment, I was there on time , but I still need to wait like 40mins for the doctor. He walked in , ask me 2 questions , check, then write down 2 prescription drugs and then left. I was shocked and didn’t feel that I was cared as a patient. Considering all my time effort , I cannot believe that he only wanna spend 3mins for me? I wanted to ask more questions but he said I can revisit next month and ask more questions…….

I have had severe eczema for the last two years and haven’t been able to heal it. I’ve tried so many different creams and seen so many different doctors. Dr. Sloan listened to my concerns and prescribed me new creams that I had never tried before. Within 5 days of seeing him my eczema has completely cleared up! Thank you Dr. Sloan!

Quick!! I thought they were quick because they think of patients as money and i didn’t feel cared. After consult, a lady comes in with two items in shopping bag plus one more item in her hand (shopping bag comes in one size i guess) to sell. She explained what they were for and said it contains mineral (didn’t say which one. Maybe all?) and told me $70 for soap + moisturizer tax included and $97 for all 3(shampoo $27) and the receipt does not tell you how much each item costs and before tax.I asked front desk lady if they can send my prescription to Costco pharmacy and she told me to find out their fax number write it down on the top of my prescription(isn’t it their job to know?). I felt like they do this to avoid what happens next. they don’t need to worry if it goes through or not.I did buy all three items so i can avoid them next time if it doesn’t work.

worst experience by far. I'm extremely disappointed in my visit with Dr sloan. He took maybe 3 minutes to look at me. I was told by him something needed to be removed, was referred to a surgeon, only to have the surgeon AND Dr sloan say the removal was never needed. The entire staff didn't believe me and told me I was incorrect. Absolutely unbelievable. I would never recommend him.

Dr. Sloan and his staff are great. I have been seeing him for a few years for different skin conditions. He has been in practice for many years so he immediately knows what he’s looking at! Don’t understand the complaints about being fast. I’m a very happy patient of Niagara Dermatology!
