The Claremont School
A wonderful school full of dedicated and talented teachers. We are fortunate to have such a welcoming, inclusive and eco-conscious school in the neighbourhood.

The Claremont School
If your child is experiencing challenges with reading or writing, this is the place to be. Our daughter is in her second year at Claremont and we are very pleased with her progress. She is an extremely bright and creative individual who was starting to get frustrated with the mechanics of reading and writing as others around her seemingly progressed more easily. We were fortunate enough to catch her challenges early and found The Claremont School before it started to impact esteem (Thank you, Google!). Ms. Reiss and the teachers at Claremont are professionals in every sense of the word and understand the capabilities of the children as well as the challenges they have. It's not all rainbows and unicorns - our daughter absolutely loves her teachers and friends at Claremont, but conquering the things that are hard to her mean that she's not always positive about school every day - we're all human. Bottom line - the improvements we have seen are dramatic and while there is a road ahead, at least we are on it. What stands out about this school is that they consider the whole child in the context of their abilities and challenges and work with the children at their levels regardless of how advanced or challenged they might be. They care. They really care. It speaks volumes when you see former students visiting the school, sharing stories of their successes and the support they are clearly grateful for with the students there today. In my opinion, this is a model school with an approach to reading and writing that could benefit any and every student. The rich variety of clubs and fully student-run (staff-guided) school theatre productions are extraordinary.

The Claremont School
After several years of trying through the public system it just wasn't not working for my child. Luckily we found Claremont. My child has finally started to develop a love of reading. She struggles less, has more confidence (Daddy, everyone else sounds like I do when I read out loud) and has made friends for life. The teachers actually care about the kids development and go that extra mile to make sure they understand. Claremont has great clubs and activities and we could not be happier with the decision.

The Claremont School
A true community school - not in the geographic sense, but in the sense of belonging and level of involvement from parents and teachers. The staff truly care about helping each child reach their full potential and unlock their superpowers. Our child has gained heaps of confidence in reading, writing and math, and enjoys the many creative clubs the school offers, as well as the constant exposure to art and music. There is a focus on perseverance (growing through challenges), cooperation (clubs, teamwork, theatre productions) and mindfulness (morning meditation walks & yoga) - which all help in building strong character. We feel so lucky to be a Claremont family!

My daughter attended a summer camp developed by Ms Reiss. The results were amazing. She progressed more in the short program than she had in an entire academic year at a different school. As a result we have moved to Toronto specifically to attend the Claremont School, and we are delighted with the results. This is a superb program for dyslexia.

I am a teacher at The Claremont School. Our school has a wonderfully warm and caring environment, and I look forward to every day with our students and staff. Our strong focus and unique pedagogy in reading, writing and math help propel our students to their highest academic potential. Numerous activities in art, drama and music provide our students with a creative outlet, and outdoor activities and outings give our students opportunities for athletic endeavours and environmental learning.

The Claremont School
This is a school devoted entirely on teaching students with dyslexia. They are truly unique in that they are the only school in Ontario that focuses on this. The teachers here are committed and passionate and with the small class sizes, it affords them the luxury of spending quality time with each student thereby increasing their likelihood of success and that of higher learning. If anyone has a child with dyslexia, I highly recommend this school.

I am a parent and I help out at the school in a music capacity. The sensitivity that the teachers and staff provide to the children is very inspiring. Opening minds to different ways of learning and understanding and developing positive self-image is paramount. Inspiring.

The Claremont School
One of the most positive, friendly, constructive school environments I've been exposed to. The teachers are passionate, attentive and inspired. My daughter has been at the school for 2 years. She's exceling and has never been happier. She loves going to school everyday and I personally love just walking into the building to get a little dose of all the wonderful things they're doing everyday. It is unique, brilliant and one of a kind.

The Claremont School
Our son learns differently and as much as we support our local public schools, if your child doesn't fit into the 'mass majority' of learners, that easily cope and learn amongst 25 peers, then Claremont is a lifeline. It's reasonably priced and full of talented, bright, delightful teachers, inspired by a seasoned, industry-professional in O-G, principal Evelyn R. We transferred our son mid year. They've worked hard to accommodate and welcome our son. It's a challenge at first, but we expected a lot more push-back and he is settling in quickly. More importantly, we see the work coming home, the guidance, the care and time taken to really teach our son. It gives us hope. We believe this is a critical investment that will have long-term benefits. Plus it smacks of Hogwarts - a truly unique learning experience for very lucky kids.
