Mary Brown's Chicken
Came here yesterday for some takeout and ordered a spicy big Mary combo. Though everything tasted great I was very disappointed in the size of the fillet in the big Mary. It was so thin they should call it the skinny Mary. I took a picture of the inside of the sandwich and even at the thickest part the filet never exceeded 3/8 of an inch and there was chicken missing right in the middle of the sandwich. Not very good value especially at a price point starting at $12. I would expect this sort of thing from KFC but honestly The last time I had KFC the filet was thicker than Mary Brown's.

This is an everything-fried-chicken store. It’s just like Popeyes or KFC, except those two are better. The fried chicken at Mary Brown’s tasted so-so, in my opinion; it‘s like supermarket fried chicken. And the gravy that came with it tasted a bit more like soy sauce. And they’re overpriced! The 2-piece fried chicken meal with a drink and a coleslaw is $9.99. And even when you order more, like a bucket or something to share (like we did), the price does not get better. Service was just ok. The only good things I can say are: (1) They have malt vinegar packets; (2) They put your meal in what seems to be a sturdy brown bag, if you order takeout. The dining area is small and not well-designed for enjoying a nice meal. There were only 3 tables (two of them were unstable and wobbled), each with 4 chairs. Then there’s a slim, long window table that can sit 6. And since it’s a short walk from the door to the counter, customers make a beeline right next to you while you eat. You’re better off ordering takeout if you want Mary Brown’s fried chicken. There are two generic restrooms. There’s parking in front.

I go to Mary browns very often for lunch as I go to the high school near by. My card was declined today. I was trying to pay for a meal. Had nothing else on me. I went to sit back down with my friends as I had a packed lunch I was just gonna eat when I returned to school. Figured my spending was low and I would top it back up when I got home. When me friend got his order there was a second bag that came out with it. Absolutely incredible! If I see that lady when I go again I will make sure to thx her properly by re paying her for the meal! What a awesome experience if I ever get chicken in the future ik where I am going.

The chicken wasn't cooked and it was full of grease. I called them and they wanted me to bring it back to them and they were going to cook me another one. How dumb and inconvenient after they give us raw chicken. We threw it out. Terrible. And the customer service even worse. Barely speak English. If I could give 0 stars I would.
