Excellent food and exceptional service. Thank you to the staff who helped us with our experience, the menu wasn't clear with some of the vegetables in their dishes. Staff were very accommodating and understanding.

This was our first visit to the Blue Orchid and we will definitely come back again. It's is a small family run place but there were several people dining in and quite a few take out orders picked up while we were there. Service was friendly.We started with the Thai salad rolls. They had chicken and shrimp inside. The peanut sauce that came with them was really delicious.I had the Cambodian stir fry. The sauce was spicy with layers of flavor. The green beans were still crunchy and there was lots of chicken. The portion size was just right.My partner ordered the dragon bowl which comes with a spicy vinaigrette. The ingredients were tasty but he could smell my sauce. He asked the chef for a side of yellow curry sauce to mix into the noodles. It was exceptional.

We ordered takeout from Blue Dragon and it was absolute perfection! The salad rolls with peanut sauce are addicting and we could eat them all day! Everything was still hot when it got to our door and tasted absolutely delicious! I ordered everything online and it was very easy to navigate their website and menu. The same people that own Bamboo Hut in Red Deer own Blue Dragon and the menu is very similar. I highly recommend eating here. It's real food, prepared fresh and family owned and operated. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not sure how this place has 4.7 stars. I thought the food was really average. No real consistent flavour and actually not much flavour at all. Chicken seemed tough, almost overcooked. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Ok ambience. A bit of an odd location in a light industrial area. I'd try a few other places before going back.

Have been twice to get a good idea of the consistency of the food quality ,not disappointed . Fresh and tasty. Wish the prices had not gone up between visits but still reasonable . Thinking about it right now will maybe jump in car and go there for some food !!

Food was good though seafood bowl much overpriced. Service and evening restaurant service mediocre at best. More suitable to lunch crowd. Partner and I each had 2 drinks. Used glasses weren't removed. Waitress didn't know what glass to serve with a beer.

Blue Dragon is consistently the best restaurant in Red Deer. Family owned, the chef is part of that family. The care and love put into their dishes is plain to see. Your hard earned money doesn't go into franchise fees but truly supports local. A large number of vegetarian and vegan options sit alongside meat-based dishes, so there is something for everyone. Variety, home cooking, plus a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal here. Give it a try for takeout as well! Thank you so much for the great food, Blue Dragon. Keep it up!

The dishes we had were all very tasty and piping hot fresh from the kitchen. We had the dinner for two for $44. It includes 4x spring rolls, soup and 2 entrees. The spring rolls were nice and crispy but I think the sauce could have been spicier.We had the Tom Yum soup which was excellent it had enoki and oyster mushrooms, lemongrass, shrimp and ginger.Thai styled noodles (pad thai) and green curry chicken. We said for the curry to be spicy but it could have been even more so.We also had the salad rolls and they were good sized and came with a coconut peanut sauce with a bit of bite but again we would have liked it to be a bit spicier. All in all a great meal! We enjoyed ourselves and the service was very good.
