Beautiful campsite. Some are very close together but others have some limited privacy. Highly recommend spending 1/2 day there. Gorgeous sunsets. And beautiful place to swim on a summer day. Watch out for the mice!

Came here on our first visit the island. Loved swimming here during high tide on a hot day. The rock formations just capture your imagination. Be sure to allot enough to take a dip, dry off, relax, and perhaps even enjoy a sunset. We plan to come to this park on all of our future visits. Much enjoyed by all. Highly recommended.

Beautiful campground and great spot to swim. Loved the island. Really disappointed in the state of the toilets. Filled to the brim and not emptied or cleaned, apparently not attended because the hand sanitizer was left to go empty. Never saw an attendant walk around, especially as there was a fire ban on and there were people smoking. Few facilities to care for and they weren’t cared for. Otherwise absolutely stunning campground, great location, great island.

Love the place! One of my favorite campgrounds so far. I visited it in the middle of September - low season, minimum people - the best time to stay here, in my opinion. As it seems very crowded and loud during the summer. The camp sites are close to each other, but during the low season it doesn't really matter, as people won't bring their kids to the campsites in fall. There was a fire ban, but people still set their fires at the designated fire pits. It rained over night anyways. So quiet! I could hear my own breathing and ocean waves at night - super romantic place! It was much warmer than Vancouver. No smoke and green grass everywhere. While in Vancouver the grass is yellow everywhere. Two types of camp sites - big sites (for cars and campers) - $24, 3 small sites (for bikes) - $21. Including tax.Friendly staff! Campground is very clean and well maintained. There are some snacks and ice-cream sold at the park office, as well as some basic camping necessities. The view on the sunset and passing ferries is breathtaking! Will suggest this place to my friends and family!

camping here in november was pretty solid. washrooms were in suprisingly good shape, although the garbage area was a mess. checking in was confusing as there was nobody there, and no clear instructions on what forms to fill out. i just wrote my name, license plate dates i’ll be there and phone number on a piece of paper and dropped it along with my money into a box. only 6 camp sites were opened for the winter, and only 1 other was taken. the park itself is nice, with some trails and a nice bay. i have heard of people mentioning mice at this campsite, but i didn’t come across any form of wildlife.downside, you can still hear nanaimo and the ferry traffic drive by. you aren’t quite excluded from society as i was hoping to be. also the view from the bay is nanaimo, which i don’t think is the most enjoyable. also garbage area was torn apart by animals.

This park is close to the ferry. If your on a bike ride safe. I was there at low tide and was able to walk out on the edge of the reef for some better pics.Great place to explore along the shore.July 14/2022. 23° Sunny & warm. This time the tides are exceptionally low. Come at low tide to walk out on the reefs. Take care on the kelp covered rocks.

We parked in woods and down hill to beach. There is a rock look like a horse face that is a secret gift.
