If you are on any kind of government assistance or are in a low income bracket this place is a godsend! You can get reduced rates on vaccinations, exams and spaying/neutering.As you can imagine this place is very busy but the staff are all caring, competent and professional.

It has been a devastating day for our family having to say goodbye to our beloved Pebblez. She was our first child, flower girl at our wedding and big sister to three human sisters. She was just a month shy from her 18th birthday…Thank you to the staff at the Toronto Humane Society for helping our family through this heartbreaking time.You provided us with a safe and comfortable space to say our farewells. You walked us through each step and gave us time to grieve privately.We were greeted and directed to a spacious private room that accommodated our whole family as soon as we got to our appointment. The vet and nurse were very gentle and kind to her and us. Our Pebblez went peacefully with love and kindness. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

We adopted Brennan in 2019 from THS. He is the smartest, sweetest, and most loving cat we ever had. Thanks THS

Tried to surrender my cat that is dying and they haven't gotten back to me in over a month. Tried to call during business hours and they're busy training so they won't be working today it says. We'll guess what with the customer service etc they keep this up and AI will soon take over their positions anyway cause they don't so much imo. Ppl all over have gotten so lazy and entitled no one does their job out of pride anymore. They're to self centered to do good at their jobs now a days.

I wish I was writing this review under better circumstances. I took my best friend and little girl ( my miniature schnauzer )in on Jan 2nd because she was ready to cross the rainbow bridge where she would suffer no more , I've never felt any pain, grief or heartbreak that deep before in my life, but the Doctor and the staff made me feel at ease and handled my baby with tenderness, compassion and love , they have a beautiful room with a fire going and soft bedding so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable. They lit a candle in the waiting room and asked that everyone please stay silent while she closed her eyes for the last time . I was crushed and still can't look at a photo but I thank the staff at Toronto Humane Society for being so understanding and thoughtful

The Toronto Humane Society does a truly amazing job to care for and find good homes for animals in need. The operation is super well organized with friendly staff and a clean, welcoming facility.

Today we came here to drop off our cat to get it fixed.We had to book an appointment online to arrange this and it was a bit tricky due to the big demand.Once booked they provide you with easy to understand directions in written and video format.We arrived at the location and followed the directions given to us earlier.The staff was friendly and well prepared to do the intakes of all the animals scheduled for the day.They did this in a very organized manner and shortly our pet was in their possession.The operation was performed in timely manner and we were reunited with our cat earlier then expected!The cat got fixed, micro chipped, vaccinated, and had its nails trimmed.Good and professional people, and the price was very very fair.

They have no issue charging a fee for adoption but when you run into a huge problem with the dog you adopted boy do you ever get the run around when trying to reach out. Multiple emails have been sent n all you get is we are waiting for the training department to contact. Get of ur chairs n walk over to that department.They know of the issue and if it was reported the dog would have been put down. I could go on n on but I'll save all for new media. I have proof they didn't look into their out adoption process properly. More so giving a 18 kid a dog like they did. More to follow.
