Got absolutely stellar advice on my OWN equipment. Needed angles for a chainsaw sharpener, and Neill showed me all I needed to know and didn't ask me for anything! Great people, great service. 5 stars well earned!!

2017 was a bad year for flooding and my mom lives in Rockland. We spent over a week trying to save her house from completely flooding. With the help of the community there, we were able to save her house. Renting a pump to keep the water out was very hard to find at that time. Not many were available. So, being from Kemptville, I went over to First Stop Rentals and they had one for me to rent. 2 weeks later once everything settled and the water receded I brought back the pump to First Stop Rentals. The owner took the pump and said have a good day. I looked at him and said I didn't pay yet. And he turned to me and said, no need to pay. You guys went through enough. Have a good day! That is unbelievable. One of the rental places around my moms place charged her and said you will get money from the government to pay for this. Unbelievable. I will always go to First Stop Rentals for my Rentals. Thanks a lot guys. You have no idea how far this goes with me. There is still some great people out there and the owner of this place is one of them. You made a customer for life.

Rented here several times for several different reasons.. from concrete saws to compactors to overseeding machines... they extremely professional and kind. Had a stalling issue w a machine, swapped out and even discounted without asking. Most important is they local. Small town helping small town. Win win. Plan on renting again soon. Refer all my neighbors there.

I've rented all kinds of equipment from Neil and Alexis and had a great experience every time. I've had them do some small engine repair as well. Prices and service for both rentals and repair work have been excellent.

Great place, staff are knowledgeable and pleasant.I went looking for a Stihl Kombi power head and line trimmer.Got what I wanted and they have lots of attachments to choose from.

While having a Murphy's law kind of day, I found myself calling around for a submersible pump and 100+ ft of hose. Alexis at First Stop was very nice to deal with. Very quick, friendly and brightened up my day. I was in and out in no time.When I brought the pump and hoses back, I found myself fixing a flat tire (punctured from somewhere else). I was offered the use of their compressed air. A++ service, and I will be using First Stop for all my tool rental needs.Part of me wanted to hang out longer at the store but I was still dealing with my emergency.

Great service and great people working here. Can't say enough good things. Always have the tools/machines we need. Kyle was also AMAZING helping us with our own equipment! such an amazing local business.

Horrible! Rented an auger to dig 4 holes. Had to go four feet deep through clay and it took 2.5 hours to dig one hole. My contractor doing the job said the blade was very dull, should only take 45 minutes to complete one hole through clay. After bringing it back within my four hour time frame and letting them know it was dull they still wanted to charge me for it even after I paid my workers all that time for one hole. The remaining three holes still not done. The friendly associate let me know that the owner will call me regarding a refund. The owner then called me and asked me what is the problem, and I told him what happened and he started off by saying it is normal to take 2.5 hours through clay and there will be no refund. I said no problem I will pay it and let others know through reviews. Then he started swearing including the f word and slammed the phone and hung up on me. Very unprofessional for sure. Doing major renovations this year he will lose big time with me and my contractor who cannot afford to count on this business to come through when needed. Especially a dull tool.I would not recommend doing business with first stop rentals.
