The local spot for excellent advice and a wide selection of specific spinning and fly fishing gear and tackle. Excellent service, friendly staff, and the go-to spot to get the low down on what is fishing well, and what gear to use. Prices are great, comparable or better than the large box stores. This is the shop to visit in Calgary if you’re looking for local knowledge.

This place beats Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops for selection hands down. The staff were knowledgeable and the products were great. The Edmonton location we went to was better than Calgary, but both stores held their own value in their own way.I really liked the jig and plastics bins. I have never seen so many great options in one place. It was like a fly fishing station but for gear anglers.I will be back next time I'm in Alberta.

Second visit at TheFishinHoleLTD because my first visit was such an amazing experience.I had originally gone in with the intent to buy a particular rod i had looked at online; Paul gave some great suggestions which i ultimately ended up going with. Ernie was super friendly and the rest of the staff there are very knowledgeable about everything on the market. 110% recommend

Called it to make sure they had product in stock. Was told over the phone yes we have tons of them here!" Went to the store the next morning no one knew where products were or if they even had them. Very disorganized. Most products are over priced. They do have a couple of items that other stores don't have but not enough to make want to go back."

We were out wandering on a Thursday night recently and kind of stumbled upon The Fishin’ Hole. What a great spot for all things fish. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member assist us. Paul was amazing. We got talking about our favourite fishing spots and what we were fishing for. He had a some fantastic suggestions. We feel much smarter after talking to him. We definitely added a few new items to the tackle box for this season. If you need anything, this is definitely the place to go. Staff are so knowledgeable. Much better than the big box store.
