The place is very easy to find and plenty of parking outside! Great location especially on a nice sunny day. The owners (husband and wife) are sweet and welcoming. Now, if it came to businesses comparison or appropriate hospitality, I’d rate a 3. Usually at a sit in, you get a drink order or water, unfortunately that was missed till we asked for it half-way into our meal. We had questions about the menu and the husband was able to answer only not to pass it on to his wife which caused a lot of confusion on our end. We ordered the fattoush but asked for just a small size to share and he said they can do that but when we were served, it was the large size split. Taste wise, fattoush 10/10, just like the middle east, fresh and full of flavours. For the main meal, we rate it 5/10. My friend ordered the ultimate veg bowl only to be served something different but we thought that was the bowl. She asked the owner if he can make a smaller portion since he said it was large or if it comes in that, he said yes they can do that. So we expected the same bowl but in a smaller size. It was not that. It was just rice, 4 falafels and some pickles/turnips. The rice is not white as advertised, it’s brown and has lentils. It did not have the salad in the bowl as advertised either. She asked for spicy and it was not but later asked for a sauce, and got siracha, which did the trick. I got the chicken shawerma poutine, which is advertised as chicken shawerma, zaatar fries, gravy and cheese curds (like a regular poutine). I got rice on the bottom?? I have no idea why and it was the same brown and lentil rice. It just felt like they didn’t have enough fries so filled it with some rice to make it look full. I feel what went wrong here is a communication error. When we went to pay, we were charged for the poutine shawerma (16.95$), loaded bowl ($20), and fattoush (10$).. definitely not worth the prices especially for that loaded bowl being a smaller size and charged the same (missing salad) and random rice in my poutine! I should mention when we made them aware of the mistake, they took off the fattoush price. So in total we paid around $42. Would I come back? Probably not. Is it that bad? Not really but not worth a 50 minute drive for that.*edited my review after I was attacked by the owner for apparently not asking the right questions?* If a picture and description say something, why should I ask?

Great spot if you want a slice of the Mediterranean cuisines. The Falafel wrap is an authentic vegan sandwich and the Chicken Shawarma is heaven. Sami and his wife are great welcoming hosts. A must try!!!

The Falafel Spot
It's nice to find a restaurant that makes world-class (authentic) falafels (and more) in Sussex, New Brunswick. The falafel and shawarma that we ordered were fresh, generous, healthy, and full of flavour. The fries with za'atar were delicious too. The owners of The Falafel Spot were very welcoming, helpful, and full of 'good vibe'. We'll be back soon!
