If you can go elsewhere, GO ELSEWHERE!!! The nurses here are SO RUDE. Everyone from the check-in process, triage and nurses in emergency. They don’t greet you as you walk up to the desk, when you ask a question they respond with attitude. I had to get an X-Ray and the nurse just pointed to follow the Orange line, I sat outside this door for 15mins before a nurse walking by tells me this X-ray room is out of service. When I was finally seen by a doctor I was put in a dirty room (during covid) the room had obviously used (see photo). I would NEVER come here for help again.

Came in the other week week, it was Sunday morning. I got seen to pretty quickly and felt that the doctors were attentive while talking good care of me. It was understandably a little busy but that’s to be expected of an emergency room.

Horrible. Horrible. I contracted the COVID 19 for the third time now. And I develop tinnitus. With a non-stop constant humming abound on both ears. I can compare it to a brutal torture practice. I haven’t been able to sleep. Nothing. My chest is in tremendous pain. Have all the symptoms. My heart beat races like I’ve just ran a marathon. He explain there is no cure for tinnitus. I was like ok. Anything you can do for my chest pain? He is like. You are a young man. You’ll be ok. Then I said. How about for my anxiety? Can you please prescribe something. He was like no need to. It’s not like you are 65 or something. Just go home play some Miami sound machine and listen to la conga. That was the best a professional doctor could do for a struggling patient. Unbelievable.

Brought my father here because he lost complete feeling in both of his legs suddenly. The emergency department has been a complete disaster with unhelpful staff apart from Ricky and Shawn. The registration nurse gave attitude asking me why we didn’t call an ambulance because it appeared she didn’t want to help bring my father out of the car into a wheelchair that my family and I brought ourselves. My husband ended up bringing him out of the car which caused pain. When family members say something, take us seriously. If we could do something ourselves, we would. When we finally got into the emergency area, the staff scheduled an MRI, which requires my father to go on a bed. At many points I explained my father’s legs cannot move and no nurse or security staff helped get him into a bed. Finally at the MRI area, my husband and brother had to move him into the bed. What if an elderly couple came in and one person couldn’t lift the other? This is what our healthcare system has turned into. A complete joke. If you’re going to go somewhere for emergency services please go elsewhere. I’d also like to add - these nurses who treat patients like numbers and give attitude when family members give information about the patient need a reality check. Don’t collect paycheques and hate your job. If you hate people, work somewhere else.

I got there at 11pm on a Sunday night, by 11.30 pm I was assigned a bed. The fastest service ever I have received in an ER. The nurses were caring and very efficient. The doctor came to see me right away. They had a fast triage system

11:30am until 7pm and still waiting. I blame Doug Ford for underfunding Ontario's healthcare system, and the rest of you useless lot for voting him in. Shame on you.

I got there about 7:00 PM and til 09:30 PM things went relatively smooth. I saw a doctor they run some tests and then I was asked to wait for the test result. After waiting for 2:30 hrs more I asked if they have my results back, they said they area still waiting. And by 3:00 AM in the morning no update and was told they don’t know where my chart is and are looking for it. The staff(specifically the night team) shows complete disregard for people, they were disrespectful and unprofessional.

On Monday I was taken to ER with an ambulance. I wasn’t sure how long I will wait as from my experience in the past ( 10 yrs ago w my dad had who had a heart attack, we had to wait 16 hours sitting in a chair at NYGH). Anyways, the entire experience was great ( okay given the circumstances) as they moved me fast to the yellow zone. The doctor Dr. Michael Moffatt) saw me relatively quickly. I did the required test and I was given the right treatment. I was in excruciating pain so was counting every minute. Overall, from entering the ER with the ambulance ( thanks to Brenden ), admission, tests, doctor diagnosis, treatment, going to pharmacy and leaving the it’s was only 2.5 hours!Thank you again for your help and efficient service.
