Celebrated my niece’s grad dinner here. Greeted by friendly and attentive staff. Set menu was offered for our group, with choices of beef, fish, pasta, pork schnitzel or vegetarian. Started with clam chowder (New England style), with chunks of salmon to boot. Ordered the schnitzel (cooked perfectly, not dry) and had a bite of my wife’s seafood pasta too which was delish! Topped off everything with their chocolate tort which was rich and heavenly. All in all, perfect.

Fresh seafoods at reasonable price! Overall pretty good but some were not as good as others. Liked the presentation tho.

My daughter chose to come here for her 13th birthday based on the menu on their website. However, they didn't have the same appetizer platter that really caught her attention. The snapper special was delicious, seafood pasta was creamy and full of flavour but my daughter loved the beef carpaccio. She has a refined palate! We did order 6 oysters but the shucking of them looked like someone had chewed on them first - more attention to detail please. Not sure if it was the norm on a Friday night but was under the impression that our server was looking after too many tables - so the service could have been improved. I always had to ask for something - asking for a box to take away, asking for the bill, and then asking for the machine to pay the bill.Despite these hiccups, our bellies were happy.

We had a family dinner here at Steveston Seafood House. We were quickly seated upon arrival. We did made a reservation online the prior day.We got the menu and decided to go with Dine Out for both of us ($45 per person). Our appetizers came quickly. The calm chowder was good. Salad was good as well.Entrees took some time to come, but we ordered the Filet Mignon, medium rare and Blackened Snapper with Pacific Shrimp. The steak was quite bland, no sweetness and doesn't taste fresh. The steak was grilled to a point that the top tasted bitter. It wasn't good. The snapper was very salty. Not sweet. Does not even taste fresh. Nothing special about this dish. Pilaf wasn't good either. Our waiter was quite busy, so it took a long time to get his attention for our dessert. We went to a Tiramisu and some Lemon Tart. Both desserts were too sweet. The Lemon Tart Shell was.... Hard and disgusting.Overall, the only thing good was the soup and salad. Everything else wasn't tasty. Not recommended at all. For the price of $45 per person..... There's better choices and places to spend this type of money. Not worth it and...didn't had a great time.P.S - two hours here. 50% time waiting for the waiter and the bill.

Glad we found this place after initially thinking we were going elsewhere. Many of the local restaurants focus on a lot of fried foods but we were hoping for something a bit more interesting. From the outside it looked friendly if slightly formal compared to the options on the wharf, and it is a comfortable place to have a pleasant and relaxing meal. Food was well prepared and attractive, very good flavours. I didn't hear a single complaint from others there and we couldn't find anything to fault ourselves. Service was attentive enough and friendly without being in your face or pretentious. We were too full to get to the dessert course, so that indicates good portions as well.I would definitely recommend this restaurant especially if you are looking for something a little quieter and maybe more romantic than what you'd find on the wharf area which tends to lean towards a higher energy/louder atmosphere.Pro-tip: the Devils on Horseback (bacon wrapped scallops) were well prepared and very tasty. I'd go back just for those!

This restaurant has wonderful customer service and very attentive staff. The owner, Shane, is a true delight! It is a great place for date night, parties and private events (inquire with the restaurant on those options of course!)The oysters were a bit lacklustre in size so that was the only overall disappointment. The jumbo prawn cocktail is an easy crowd favourite as well as the devils on horseback’s - I mean who can resist bacon wrapped scallops? Their calamari and sweet Thai chicken is good but nothing I’d particular run back for.The sablefish is so light and tender. The mighty Fraser was cooked to perfection and the vegetables portion was absolutely great! I am so over going to places that serve 2 tiny veggies and call it a day! They were roasted well and very flavourful. The tiramisu was done wonderfully. Light and you could really taste the layers! The blueberry cheesecake is a great staple too. Moist and decadent and not at all overpowering with the compote.Overall it is a wonderful dining experience - a bit in the pricier end but it’s worth it for the right occasion. There is street parking available in and outside of the village.

First time going there. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and the experience was amazing. Food was great plus service was amazing! Definitely try their oysters so fresh. Their calamari is perfectly cooked not chewy. My daughter enjoys her perfectly cooked steak and seafood dishes were good too. Staffs was really hospitable and very nice people. The place is small but very cozy and fancy feels like home. Unfortunately we were too hungry to take photos because of long travel. Definitely recommend here and experience the food and vibe.
