Cardinal Leger Secondary School

I came from another high school in grade ten and so far I’ve spent a semester here. There’s a bunch more at this school than the other one I’ve been to. The staff are very welcoming and have charisma! The students are easy to talk to and make you feel right at home. There’s plenty of school pride ( which is a good thing). I’d say I even learned more from this school than I have from my last high school. Leger definitely has a good environment for learning experiences and I’d say it’s worth looking into if you’re considering moving into the school.

Did you know that in 1989 an Islamic man named Ben Shapiro discovered the tv show the incredibles? I didn’t either till my teacher strapped me in a chair and made me watch it on repeat without water or food for weeks

besides from the other dank reviews i actually enjoyed my tour around the school. seems like a good school, i admit that the school is pretty old but seems very big15/20

Great school if you enjoy an unbelievable amount of disrespect from the new principals. If you go here make sure you bring about 65 doctors notes to justify everything you do.

Would not recommend, honestly everything was fine up until the new principals came to the school, treating everyone with a disrespectful attitude even the ones of which didn’t do anything wrong. Regardless of student behaviour they should be setting an example for the students, but only cause the students to retaliate verbally based on their attitude. They fail to remain professional and constantly remind students when speaking to them that the students aren’t running on their own time but running on the vice principal and principals time. In my opinion this is totally wrong and only results in bad behaviour from the students. Not mentioning names because I could respect this person in some form but the new vice principal that was appointed recently seems as if every time you talk to her she’s having a bad day and/or stressed out thus being said taking out her frustration on the students as if it was THEIR fault. The board definitely needs to pay attention to what people they appoint as higher ups within the COC of each school, we need people willing to try and make change and help students be better not only accuse, argue and punish them like what’s been happening. I’ve seen students with glasses on be asked to take them off even though no teachers or anyone else at the school has an issue but the vice and principals. To the new principal/vp’s definitely try better, stop being petty to the students on simple things, teach first don’t consequence, search if needed but before you search someone base the reason of the search on reasonable grounds not only because they hang around with a group of people, a lot of people I’ve witnessed be searched and nothing was found is heartbreaking cause they are left with tears and the principals lack the respect to apologize for accusing them. Thus being said this is why I left this review.

A Graduate of 2021 and spent a good, reasonable time at Leger. The school is far from perfect, but it was definitely a place called home... It was approximately 15:30 in the afternoon, the sky was partly grey with a chance of rain. 62% to be exact. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I strolled in through the front of the building, where we, graduates, were to pick up our diplomas. We were greeted with love and affection at first glance. The teachers and supervisors looked at us with expressions of joy. That's what really made Leger great, the staff was amazing and extremely friendly. Especially the cafeteria ladies, gosh they were the best people alive, I respect them the most. I continue walking towards the lonely, school building and I see my classmates and enemies alike, they're cool too I suppose. But what really impacted me the most, was how thoughtful and thorough the school staff treated us. We, graduates, had parted ways with Leger at an unlucky time of the COVID-19, and the staff did their very best to give us a memorable time of graduating. In all honesty, I don't think I'll ever remember my 'virtual' graduation, but I will definitely remember their efforts. I do my business and catch up with the school community, but as I leave Leger for the last time... I look back and stare at the homely flagpole in front, and I reflect back on my high school life. The school building gave off a 'rustic' vibe, not very comfortable, but very nice. The cafeteria line during lunch was ridiculously long, and my love life was definitely energetic and charismatic. It was a small school and everyone felt inclusive, and I carry no regrets. Thank you Cardinal Leger and thank you for listening to my story, have a wonderful day. Sayonara.

school is not good. very old. and the computers are 1997 old. chairs are wooden. washrooms are wooden. school floor is broken. most of he lights not even working. school funds are low. Don't go to this school.
