The ladies waitresses were both attentive and friendly. The food quality was OK. This place did not separate inn and restaurant establishment. So, I review on the day that I ate here.VD:Jul 9,2023

Went here for lunch because the garden patio looked cute. Should have read the reviews first, big mistake! Instead of bringing us menus to our table, the server told us to go get our own menus from the entrance. The beer was room temperature at best, dare I even say warm. Huge disappointment on a hot summer day! Ordered the “jerk chicken panini”. This was neither jerk chicken or a panini. It was in a roll and not pressed, and the chicken was plain and dry. Not a single ounce seasoning on the chicken. The server wasn’t able to answer any questions or give recommendations. Completely bogus.

Food and drinks were good and came quickly. The server always came to check on us to see if we needed anything. Also didn't have to wait forever for the bill at the end of our meal.

I was able to get a room at the last minute, thanks to Laurie, she was absolutely wonderful to me, after I lost my Mother very suddenly, coming from Deep river, I had no place to go. Having stayed there before, I knew perhaps they may have something. I got a beautiful room with a jacuzzi, which i didn't use, but could have if the circumstances were different. There is a beautiful courtyard too, where you can enjoy some very good food. Thankyou Laurie

BUYER BEWARE!My wife and I were curious as to why this quaint old inn only had a 3.6 rating and was much cheaper than what you would expect to pay for a room on a summer Saturday night in Merrickville but foolishly decided to gamble on it anyway.PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE: to anyone who is considering making the same mistake I did, the Google rating is a very true reflection of how people are treated and the price is lower to help offset this and tempt you to stay. My brief encounter with the manager/owner after a customer service issue was as unprofessional as I’ve ever seen and no doubt filters down to the rest of the staff. I expect nothing less than lies to be told to defend this review instead of being accountable to their actions and terrible customer service.Darren

This is only a review for the restaurant. Server ( and I use that word loosely) very rude and dismissive. We left after paying for the two sodas we ordered - didn't order any food because if we are starting off our experience with such rudeness, I am not patronizing the place. If I wanted rude, I could get it for free and with a lot more style than at this place. Will never go back.

They have a well hiden patio around back with foutain and stunning view of old brick building. Like going back in time.The food is fantastic. i have tried most everything on the menue and still never disapointed.The service is also stellar. I should not be writing this review as I would hate to have to wait for a table one day.The onlt restaurant in Merrickville where we can sit with our dog and enjoy a great meal

Met the owner David. After telling him the place was nice, the owner was rude, and made my friend and I very uncomfortable. I have never felt so belittled at a restuarant in my life. First time last time. The bartender was great, she was clearly embarrassed byDavid's behavior as well.
