Compassion For Paws

I fostered through paws for compassion and it was an incredible experience. Great communication and they really care about finding the right fit for the animals. Intentional about including the foster person in the process and what they have learned about the animals.

Thank you so much to CFP and Shelly for connecting us with the newest furry addition to our family. We found the adoption listing on Petfinder, and reached out to CFP. The adoption process was thorough and included a questionnaire, an initial screening call, and a virtual home visit. Shelly seems extremely invested in ensuring that pet and adoption family are a good match so that everyone can thrive within the new dynamic. Our absolutely sweet boy is in wonderful health, and was obviously well cared-for before he came to us.Shelly asked for a few updates as he settled into his new environment, which we were happy to provide. When I followed up about a week later with pictures of him comfortably snoozing and snuggling in his new forever home, she asked if she could share the update with all of the individuals involved in his rescue so that they could see how their efforts had paid off for him (and us).Thanks again to all at Compassion for Paws!

A great experience adopting from Shelly. Cali is a perfect match for our family and the whole experience was great.

Thanks to Compassion For Paws I was able to add Maddie and Diego to my family. The adoption process went very smoothly and CFP were also able to accomidate my hours for a pick up time. I love my wonderful cats and I thank Shelly for a very smoth process!

Stay away from this place, there is no compassion from Shelley. I had an issue with my condo thought Shelley genuinely wanted to help. But after 2 days of having my dog, Shelley and the foster just started ignoring my calls. I’ve begged Shelly to reunite me and my dog that I had for 12 years but she chose to adopt my dog out to a stranger. Even though I gave her Dalilah for free and offer to pay to have her back. Definitely lacking compassion. Hope you’re happy you separated two best friends. Whoever adopted my dog Dalilah(Maltese) please reunite with her with me or please take care of her she’s used to lots of love. Shelly has no compassion for humans or dogs.

Not a very pleasant experience with this organization. My family and I were looking to adopt 2 cats after having lost our cat to illness. We found 2 6 month old cats that looked to be a perfect fit for us. After a detailed adoption process involving a foster family that were in care of these cats, we were approved and arranged to pick them up. It was our understanding that these cats were in good health and that there were no issues. But coincidently the day we were to pick them up we were notified that one cat had some fur missing on one paw. We arrived and gave them a carrier to place the cats in. We did not view the cats prior or during the adoption. Upon arriving home we noticed the other cat's eye was watering and squinting a lot. We booked a check up with our vet and we were shocked to discover that they both had signs of ringworm. Along with an eye infection, an ear infection and several areas of missing fur and scaley patches of skin. These conditions were pre-existing conditions that had been left untreated for some time, according to our vet. All testing confirmed ringworm. After having paid a rather high adoption fee we were also hit with a huge vet bill with ongoing expenses. These cats were given to us without any regard to the risk this has on our families health and how contagious this is. They denied any knowledge of their condition and only offered to refund the adoption fee and return the cats. Very unprofessional and careless to our situation. We have been nursing these 2 babies back to health and a life they deserve.

Wanted to share my experience with Shelly at Compassion for paws. Wonderful experience from beginning to end with the adoption process. Shelly was very quick with responding and very friendly to work with. She truly cares about finding her fur babies a wonderful home. Shelly offered me the most adorable and affectionate Calico kitty and Nala is an amazing addition to our family and best baby sister to her 2 brothers and sister. I would recommend Shelly at compassion for paws to anyone. Shelly puts the capital C in compassion .
