The Pottery

You get to make 2 small cups/ bowls of not 3 (no handles). The class is bound to what you are told to make and you don’t get to glaze your work- it’s all done by the instructor and you pick up your pottery several weeks later. It was fun, I just wish there was more room to experiment and that I got to learn how to glaze.

Had an amazing time with an amazing group of people. The classes are small so you get lots of instruction. Paul is a fantastic teacher and a great person all around. Will definitely be coming back, just need to find an opening!!!

Great shop, did the 3 pot making class and loved it. Great instructor, very fun and knowledgeable. We made 3 creations (you essentially make what you want/can) and overall I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a fun activity. Its a small shop so space is limited to 4 but a lot of fun!

Paul is an old-world craftsman. One taken from the land of many moons ago, where you could walk down the street and pass shops of artisans who excel at their craft. But unlike the cobbler in a fairytale, he is not a reclusive introvert who is so precious about his work.A patient teacher, with a gentle hand and lightness about him, he is also a generous human being. It was a true pleasure to meet with and work with him.Regarding the logistics of taking a pottery class, I've also done the math and crunched the numbers. His prices cannot be beat! The ease of free parking nearby is a huge bonus. Thanks Paul!

I went to a two hour beginner pottery workshop and had a wonderful time. Paul was clear and helpful. I highly recommend the workshop for a place to feel creative with direction. I don't have experience with a pottery wheel but left having made cups that I can't wait to use.

I have recently signed up for a class to give it a try for the first time. As I started, Paul was just a very great instructor and knows how to do everything right for my mistakes on pottering and it felt so great to him giving me a hand which I appreciated

Had a lovely experience!!! Paul was patient and kind and such an excellent teacher. He played good music and was fun to work with. The class took a while to book, but 5 stars because the Groupon doesn't expire, Paul is responsive, and it was a very personal workshop. It's not a huge production, and I enjoyed that more than anything. Would absolutely return.

My fiancé and I have purchased a 2hr class and have been trying to book an appointment for over a year. There are no available dates that a normal working person can book - there seems to be 1 *maybe* 2 dates in a month you can book and I have yet to see a Saturday or Sunday. As I look again, the only thing available this month is on a Monday at 9am.Disappointing once again. I have been really wanting to have a pottery experience and was hoping this would be the one. As time goes by, I'm starting to lose hope it will ever be a possibility at The Pottery.I realize now, that if I had looked on your website before purchasing a class then I would have seen the disclaimer that The Pottery doesn't operate on evenings or weekends, but I hadn't considered double checking" (I purchased from Groupon) and had no idea these were the circumstances I was dealing with. I had a great time attending a 2hr session. The class size is small, and Paul is humourous, patient, and attentive. A great introduction to working with clay! I can't wait to pick up my pieces.

Huge demand for the classes, and it was worth the wait! Paul was a great teacher, fun experience overall!
