NGA2 steakhouse and grill

Tonight my boyfriend and I went to this restaurant. I have never written a google review before but I definitely had to for this place. I have nothing but amazing things to say. Our meals were absolutely delicious. I had the penne Rasta pasta and my boyfriend had the mussels and ribeye steak. He is a tough one to please and he devoured his food with no complaints. The owners are some of the nicest people I have met. The service was quick and everything came out great. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!!!

NGA2 (NGA Squared) is a fabulous hidden gem of a restaurant. From appetizer (chicken musaki), to entrees wild salmon with roasted potatoes, green beans, asparagus & carrots with a mango chutney and stuffed pork chop with spinach, mushroom & goat cheese, veggies & garlic mashed, to the dessert (we couldn’t decide as both made in house & we are both choc lovers) the waitress Rikki asked the chef if they could take a slice of both-request was accommodated. The flourless choc cake & Nutella cheesecake were phenomenal!! All dishes were presented so nicely, great flavours, and filling. Another server Julius came to speak with us. Chef also came to the table. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff & meals very delicious. Price point a bit higher but worth it when everything tasted so amazing!!! We will be back & highly recommend.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice already and I love it. One of my favourites now. Great food, great service, family owned and you can tell they put their heart into it. I asked for a tiny modification to my pizza and they executed perfectly. Chef/owner comes out to talk to you as well. We’ve ordered so many things off the menu and nothing has disappointed us. My other group of friends and I are going again in a couple of weeks and it’s their first time and they can’t wait to try. They have live music on Saturdays as well sometimes and it’s lovely.I’d also like to point out that whoever wrote that one star review—my friend and I were there that night sitting next to them and while they are entitled to their own opinion, to say that the restaurant deserves a freaking one star review over that is a gross misjudgment of scale. The review sounds way more over dramatic than what actually happened and I hope that review doesn’t deter anyone from going to this place. It seemed like a miscommunication if anything and the server was so professional and sweet sweet while rectifying the error. At the most it would knock off one star but to knock off four? Definitely not deserved. Rookie servers? He was great. My friend and I were rolling our eyes at that Karen table the whole time.And no, they didn’t ask me to write that, I just like to support and encourage family owned local restaurants. Times are rough. But if you’re looking for a great meal, good service and unique flavours, this is your spot!!

My wife accidentally booked Tuesday April 25th for a party of 4 with guests from Winnipeg, not realising that this was a day closed for staff. Imagine our surprise that they emailed back saying they accepted our reservation.Once at the restaurant we we greeted by our waitress who was also the chef's wife with open arms.Our meal was amazing cooked to perfection and the ambiance of light jazz in the background with dimmed lights hit the spot. Cannot recommend enough and certainly will be back. Thank you for making a 65th birthday special.

I’m very disappointed to write this for a local private owned establishment. I can only hope the owner takes this as constructive criticism and learns from this. The service was absolutely rookie. I’ve honestly had better at fast food chains, we ordered $98 steak of the day that served 2. Was told came with two apps. So we ordered 2 . Our steak was med rare as ordered, but our friends ordered med. came med rare rare. Sent back to cook more and as a compliment to the mix up was served with fried shaved yams! Ok??? Thanks I guess. They ordered mashed we ordered roasted potatoes. Screwed that up. The bill came and charged for the 2 apps that came with our meal apparently, but server screwed up and accidentally said it did! Took 15 minutes to correct bill. This place needs a lot of work if it’s going to succeed in our opinion. The food was good ,but same price as the keg, with sub par service. This is my very first google review and sucks to write it.

Excellent service and food! Great atmosphere. The meals we had were top notch. We can't wait to tell our family and friends about this fabulous dining experience. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed an absolutely fantastic meal last night as part of a 70th birthday celebration. The service was exceptional and the food was incredibly delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked to my liking. Already looking forward to enjoying my next meal here and to taste more of what the chef has to offer.

This restaurant is AMAZING! The lamb is to die for - must try! The chocolate cake is also melt-in-the-mouth good. Even better than the food is the ambiance and the amazing customer service. Everyone is super nice!!! Will go here again and again!!!

A wonderful experience! Terrific servers, good ambiance, and food to die for!Others have referred to Keg prices. My filet was considerably better seasoned and more tender than many I’ve had at the Keg. Plus, a bonus for us, this place is locally owned. We will be back!

The calming atmosphere of the room and our amazing waiter, Julius, set the tone for our evening. Our meals were perfection! We will most definately return.
