Stupendous experience! Even though my friends and I didn’t buy anything, the staff were so friendly! We got a hands on experience and were able to cut tomatoes were the fabulously crafted Japanese knives. I definitely recommend this place to everyone, whether you’re just looking for some intricate knives or simple kitchen utensils, this is definitely the place to go!

No store like it in Edmonton. You can buy knives, which we did, that are going to last as a sharp kitchen knife that will last 200 years. Adam will help you with there classes on how to use the knives properly as he is actually a top chef!!! The other items in the store bring the incredible Japanese culture into your home to boot!

If you’re looking to maintain your knives at home, take your money here. I took their knife sharpening class and not only was it great value, it was very fun, hands on, and practical. Our instructor Adam has equal measures of knowledge and fun anecdotes, he made the class interesting and extremely informative. I left feeling confident that I could grow this skill. In addition, when you take the class you get discounts on their products which really helps you get set up with what you need. Highly recommend this place!

We were gifted a Tojiro DP Kiritsuke 210 mm knife. Our knife came with a coupon for 50% off a ceramic honing rod. We visited the Knifewear store on Whyte Ave in Edmonton (they have locations in several cities). Kris, the store manager demonstrated how to correctly use a honing rod to sharpen our knife. We can still take advantage of the free sharpening that comes with the purchase of a knife. Chris was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The store sells an assortment of knives, axes, and kitchenware. They also offer a class in cutting techniques in which I will consider enrolling. Very impressed with the store and its staff.

Amazing shop with amazing staff, products and services. I have bought four knives from Knifewear and I love them all. Their staff is great and knowledgeable and very welcoming and helpful. If you are a chef or home cook don’t hesitate to check the shop out and grab yourself a quality knife or get your knives sharpened.

Cannot recommend this place enough. They have a fantastic selection of knives and the staff are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they sell. Steve was super helpful in helping me find the right knife and made it a great experience. Excellent customer service and great products, you can't go wrong.

Took two classes at this location over the last week. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn about knives and is interested in quality products and quality advice. They offer a number of products that will last a lifetime and elevate your culinary experience. I purchased 3 of these Higonokami knives, they are a high recommended as a gift or personal item as well. While I would like to shout out individual staff, they all are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I took a knife sharpening course and would highly recommend the experience. It was a small group (4 students) that lent itself well to attentive instruction. I left confident that I learned the skills to keep my knives sharp. Can't really beat this deal - $100 for 2hrs of instruction; $50 gift certificate and 10% off.

Last month, they nicely squeezed me into a knife skills course that was already full because I was just travelling through Edmonton and didn't have any flexibility in my dates. It was an amazing course with Adam and when I go back in Edmonton, I'll probably take it again. So much info!All the staff working in the store are so knowledgeable about the knives - very impressive. I definitely have my eye on a couple knives!

Been here a few times to buy knives and shaving equipment. Adam has always been very helpful and knowledgeable about the products he carries.Would highly recommend seeing him if you have any questions about what knife is best for you.The cutting class he provides as well is definitely worth it.Thanks Adam for all your help!!
