Metropolitan Movers Hamilton

This has to be the worse moving experience I have ever had. Took 2 guys 3 hours to move a small 2 bedroom apartment into their truck. I packed the full apartment , took apart the beds and even took the legs of the sofa and chairs myself. Then took 3 hrs to put into a storage unit. I called to complain because they set the alarm off there and I was charged $75 for the alarm. Also when I went to add some things into the storage unit, wow what a mess they had made. Was like they just threw it in any way. I am afraid to take it out to see what's broken. I called and emailed to complain, telling them I shouldn't have to pay for the workers setting off the alarm and not a call back or email. I wouldn't recommend these guys to move anything. Slowest service I've ever seen in my life. Please don't throw your money away on these guys.

My moving experience was awesome with Metropolitan Movers Hamilton. Their guys were great in moving my condo. They were very fast and hard working. All the movers were very professional. They packed up all my stuffs and safely moved to my new condo. Thanks to Hamilton Moving Company. I will use them again for my next move

Would not recommend at all. They misquoted only needing one truck, luckily we had rented a backup 20ft UHaul which we ended up filling. During our move they got a call that they needed to help another crew so they rushed our job, did not wrap out antique table and it was damaged. When asked about it they insisted we had to pay the bill and go through their insurance claim. We were told the insurance claim would be processed in 14 days, after 9 weeks and many phone calls from us they finally responded with an offer for $100 etransfer and attached a copy of their agreement stating that they don't take liability for damages. Unacceptable, the service we paid for included our furniture to be wrapped which is was not, so they did not fulfil their end of the contract, not to mention the cost and time of us renting a secondary truck because of their gross underestimate. Do not use this company if you are looking for a stress free move. So incredibly unprofessional

They were amazing professionals who went above and beyond. This was my first time using movers in general and this pair has exceeded my expectations. They even took the door off just to get our couch in the place without damaging it! Would definitely recommend.

I wish I could give zero stars this was a HORRIBLE experience. They arrived over an hour late and then hadn’t even been there an hour and took a 20 minute break. Very unprofessional and rude. They kept going and sitting in their truck. They threw my clothes down the stairs and complained constantly about the one flight of stairs. I left my apartment at the same time as them and they arrived at the new place 45 minutes after me. They were SO SLOW dragging their feet and taking so many smoke breaks. I had to get 3 friends to come and help unload the truck. The manager Vlad was also extremely rude and unprofessional and did not care one bit about my concerns. I tried to call customer service many times and they always said they were on a call with someone else and then the manager said customer service was closed - constant lies. It was a tiny one bedroom apartment and it took nearly 7 hours to complete, they drag everything out because they charge by the hour. My parents hired movers for a 5000sq foot home and it took them 4 hours - why did this take so long ?!? AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!!!

Metropolitan Movers did a wonderful job I couldn't be more satisfied. The movers were very friendly and arrived on time. They took the time to put runners down on my floors as not to scratch them or my belongings. Each box was thoroughly marked as they packed it and they took great care with everything. All my possessions arrived totally intact with not a chip or scratch on anything.I am highly impressed with the professionalism and complete service they offer and would recommend them to anyone looking to move.

I just hired Metropolitan Movers Hamilton to move 1 furnished bedroom house with an extra bed and extra mattress. The same move before had taken another company 4 hours. This took Metro. movers Hamilton 12 HOURS! They conveniently charge by the hour. It was one full truck load and the drop off location was a 20 minute drive away. I have used multiple moving companies in the past to further and more difficult houses to move out of so never could I have imagined that this move would end up at a whopping bill of 12 hours moving charges. Unless you have all the time in the world and don't need your money I would not hire this company ever again. On complaining the manager seems to think that amount of time is normal. Big big mistake hiring them. Incredible.

Moving Company and his team are efficient, friendly, and effective, and I look forward to using them for future moves too. He was very responsive and quick to help me set up the move after submitting my request online, too.

I've never encountered such slow movers in my life. I would never hire them again. Be warned, there's no hidden fees other than the countless hours they take to move your house resulting in a massive bill. Same house/contents was moved in 4 hours by another company when moving in... Metropolitan Movers Hamilton took 12 hours for the move out!!!

DO NOT HIRE THEM. Very unprofessional company. They were an hour late, complained as soon as they got there, they were THROWING my clothes down the stairs. I left my apartment at the same time they did, and they conveniently arrived to my new location 45 minutes after I did. Not sure how that happens when we’re driving to the same place at the same time. Once we got there they were so slow I had to ask them to pick up the pace. They had so many cigarette breaks it would be grounds to fire someone in any other work place. They tried to say my furniture wouldn’t fit so that they wouldn’t have to move it. I can’t believe how unprofessional this company is. All of the good reviews must be fake. They charge by the hour and you can tell they purposefully move slowly in order to make more money. I recently hired movers for my dads 4 bedroom house, they took about 4 hours total. Why did this company take 6.5 hours to move my 1 bedroom apartment?
