A Maid For A Day

I was told that it would take 2 hours to clean my 900sq ft house. If the cleaners went over/under, they were gonna notify me. When I got home, I found they only did half the house. Charges remained the same and no call was received. When I called they told me that i told them not to do the basement". Which I never did. So my 2hr 900sq ft job turned into a 2hr 450sq ft job - and the price stayed the same!!!!! Now

I hired A Maid For A Day to help out my wife after our second child was born almost 3 years ago with the plan of having them come to clean our home every week for 3 months. After the 3 months were up we had become so spoiled with the service that we have continued on every 2 weeks ever since. We can always depend on the girls to show up when they are supposed to and do a great job. They are very friendly and so accommodating when we need to switch things up a bit. We have been extremely happy with the service and in our opinion are by far the best house cleaners around.

I have been fortunate enough to to utilize the A Maid For A Day cleaning services many many times. Their cleaning team members are extremely conscientious, good communicators, hard workers and they make sure that you are satisfied.You can tell that they have a strong back office team supporting them by the way they arrive on time, organized, briefed up and ready to work hard and quickly. They have amazing attention to detail.The owner, Aaron, and his excellent back office team and diligent cleaning team members leave you with no doubt, that they are focused on your satisfaction.This company provides excellent value for money, and I do not hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for superior cleaning services for their home.

First time I used a Maid for a Day was for a move out clean. My rented house was old and very outdated. The cleaners came in on time, friendly, and started to work immediately after they arrived. My house was cleaned better than when I first moved in. I even thought my walls were always beige, turns out they were white!My experience going forward is the standard clean. First standard clean. Again, didn't disappoint. They arrived on time, ready to work. They found dog toys in nicks and crannies under my furniture that I thought were eaten by my dog months ago! My newly renovated floor tiles were so shiny and clean, it was tempting not to walk on them for a few hours just to admire them.I will continue to use them, as they have made my life much easier with stresses of covid, job and home life. I now recommend them to anyone who asks me. The quality of their work gives me 1 less worry.

We've been customers for at least a decade. I always loved returning to our place after they cleaned it. The cleaners are friendly and courteous, and the I get the sense that employees are treated well. We had a couple of accidents" over the years

We had Maid for a Day come into our home yesterday for a first clean with the hopes of regular service. When I walked through the door I went WOW! My wife came home shortly after and was equally impressed. Everything was organized, neat and CLEAN.I called there office today and shared with Lynn how pleased we were and to share our pleasure with the crew. I’ve been a client of A Maid for a Day for over eight years and have no hesitation recommending them to anyone. There’s nothing better than coming home to a sparking clean house after they’ve been in for a regular cleaning. Professional, with great communication about policies and processes but also always working to accommodate you when changes come up. Great service!

The best house cleaning service I have ever had!I went through 4 different maid services after moving to Calgary 5 years ago and was beyond frustrated and ready to give up until the day I had A Maid For A Day come for my last shot at a cleaning service. I knew right off the bat that things would be different just from my first phone call to them enquiring about having my house cleaned as it was obvious that they really cared! And from that point on I have a super happy customer! There have been a few occasions that there has been a floor mat not put back, or a soap dish was missed... but they are always super apologetic, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make it up to me. I know I am very picky and consider myself a perfectionist but also that everyone can't be perfect every time including me, lol. They definitely still deserve 5 stars as cleaning services don't come better than this.

I am writing this review because I wanted to share my experience while working for this company.When I first walked through the doors, I did not have a great self esteem. I questioned my value and did not know if I had much to offer. And if I'm being completely honest, I also did not have the greatest work ethic.Cleaning is hard work. At first, I didnt believe that I could do it. But with the help of Aaron (the owner), and my coworkers, I began to see progress in myself that I never knew I had. I started to feel motivated, and I began to take pride in my work. These qualities would eventually carry on with me to my next place of employment.I currently live in a new city, which is why I had to leave A Maid For A Day. I now work in the auto industry, and after working 6 months into my new career, I was offered a promotion. An opportunity that I would not have had if it was not for the dedication and work ethic I developed from being a maid.But I did not just grow professionally, I grew personally as well. The more I began to take pride in my work, the more I began to see my value in other areas of my life. My relationship with myself has changed into something much better than it was before I first walked through the door.There is something special about waking up every day and working alongside motivated, talented, and strong individuals. The drive I have seen in my coworkers left me feeling nothing short of inspired.It is disappointing to see previous employees giving bad reviews. Of course, no workplace is perfect. It would be dishonest for me to say I didnt have my bad days. When managers checked over my work for quality control, sometimes I felt they were being too hard on me. At first, this was intimidating. But after I gave it enough time, I realize that it was exactly the push in life that I needed. Why settle for being mediocre? Why not live out your best potential? Because at the end of the day, that is exactly what customers are paying for: quality work.Before I end this review, I also wanted to say that Aaron has a big heart. He cares about his clients, and he cares about his staff. I am grateful that I was able to be apart of this company.All in all, if you are looking for a company that provides quality work and cares about your needs, I believe this company has what you are looking for. My husband bought me a 2 person/2 hour gift certificate for Christmas,, I used it while I was out of town almost 2 weeks ago, and I thought I should share my experience.. Although for the most part, I was pretty happy to come home to a clean house. For that time, all that I was able to have done was the main floor (4 small rooms and a bathroom).. I stressed the chores in priority over the phone, and was told they should have time to do it all. They did, however quite a few things were missed, or just not done all that well. I stressed the bathroom was to be done ceiling to floor (All tiled) and found that not only were there corners that still had dirt in them, they didn't even attempt to clean the (2) shower heads or faucet handle. Also in my bedroom, 1 small, 10 lb bamboo unit wasn't moved, and I found a huge amount of dust bunnies under it, it always collects there since it's opposite from the window. So obviously the floor wasn't vacuumed or washed there either, and that was my second priority on the list, wash all the floors everywhere on the main floor.. Also in the kitchen, the Stainless Steel appliances were not buffed, they had streaks all over. My husband told me they got there late, as he arrived home from work shortly after they arrived, they told him they were running behind, and I wonder if they weren't in a rush, causing these items to be missed and/or skimmed over.. As I stated, I was please with most of it, but disappointed at the same time, since it was a gift for me to enjoy. It was our first time using a service, and although I will probably use one again, I'm not sure I'd use this place..Hi there,, thank you for replying,, just to clarify, I 'edited' my review a week ago, I actually wrote the review only a couple days after the cleaning, I guess the review only shows the date of editing.. I kept going back to see if I received any responses.. finally edited some bad grammar, and now I see a response.Thank you for your offer to credit me 15 minutes, but I found another cleaner, who charges me $150 for 6 hours of cleaning vs your $200 for 4 hours.. and they are doing a fantastic job,, so much so, I now bring them in every 4 weeks..
