Golden Palace Restaurant
Love this place! The staff are friendly, the restaurant and washrooms are clean and the food is delicious. It is a favourite place for us to eat.

Absolutely the WORST asian food we ever had. The prices were much higher than in their website menu. Rice was plain white and not chicken fried as advertised. Ginger beef had no flavor at all. Avoid this restaurant at all cost.

We ordered take out from Golden Palace today for the first time and it will be our last. We ordered a variety of dishes (4 mains + green onion cakes) and it cost over $70. The portions for the cost were lacking. We ordered Szechuan beef and most of the dish was onions/celery/sauce. The sweet & sour pork had hardly any sauce and was a strange texture.The green onion cakes were bland and a little under cooked.Overall, it is overpriced, and unpleasant.

I was so excited to find a Chinese place in Morinville, but it turned out to be so disappointing.The chicken fried rice is literally just white rice. Sweet and sour chicken balls (I got only 3) had barely any sauce to be seen. And the chop suey was 90% bean sprouts.Not expecting high end dining by any means, but this failed on so many levels.Will be my first and last time eating here.

Chow mein with basically no noodles... just bean sprouts. Flavor was weak. Rice was mediocre. Chicken and black bean was not very good either. I don't recommend unfortunately.

Awesome food. I hate to have to report that it was the worst customer service I have ever received from a worker named Hailey when I called in on more than one occasion.EditHad my daughter phone in the order thinking it was me not Hailey.. my daughter asks after why was she angry?" I was sitting beside her and my teenager couldn't understand why the attitude. We will not be ordering anytime Hailey is on shift. My wife requested black bean sauce on the beef and vegetable Hailey says it already does.. I actually did order beef and black bean sauce and wouldn't you know it.. the wife's did not have the same sauce.. This Hailey is full of attitude for no reason and has no idea how to do her job.Golden PalaceFind someone with actual customer service please."

When I ordered , I ordered off the old menu, not realizing that they changed there menu prices. When I called in my order I thought I was spending $50. when I got to the till to pay , it was more like $75. And the meal was not worth it. For the couple things I ordered and the quality of the food, and the size of the order, what I spent on a Monday dinner was not worth the money. I will not order again.

Disappointing is unfortunately the best way to describe our first (and last) time ordering from here.The shrimp chow mein (pictured) was almost completely bean sprouts with a few egg noodles mixed in, it was more like shrimp chop suey. The fried rice tasted okay, but it was literally just rice, pork and egg, no vegetables. The honey garlic ribs were just the breaded ones you get frozen at the store, with what tasted like corn syrup on them, no honey garlic flavour. The chicken in the chicken balls was so dry and hard we couldn't even eat some of them. No plum sauce or fortune cookies were given.I understand small businesses are struggling right now, but cutting corners isn't going to earn repeat customers. Unfortunately it just simply wasn't worth over $60 for four items, and was missing all of the elements that make takeout a treat worth splurging for.

This was the worst experience ever. The server was extremely rude .. and basically told me they could not substitute food even if allergies and if I didn't like it.. oh well..Well I'll never eat at this location ever again after the way I was treated tonight. Was great good before... now I'll just drive to st.albert and appreciate quality food.

Very disappointed in this restaurant, you get very little for the extremely high amounts of money that you pay for the dishes, there is very little chow mein in the container, they filled it with vegetables and onions, and had barely enough noodles to feed two people, the ginger beef tasted awful, I will never order from here again. Could only afford the two dishes and it was over $30 just for the two of them. I really wish there was another Chinese food option in this town so I guess I’ll be going to St Albert or Edmonton for my Chinese food from now on.
