Very nice and wide open training areas coupled with a fantastic location… This place is a Dream haven for any serious martial arts practitioner. The head coach, Jason has been nothing but kind to me and my indecisiveness in joining. Although I was unable to accommodate their training schedule with my own work schedule, I would absolutely recommend coming here for anyone that wanted to get their start in the jujitsu world

My wife and I have been involved with Genesis Martial Arts since they opened in Abbotsford in 2013. The owners and coaches have produced an atmosphere of excellence and strong support. There are classes for hobbyists and for those interested in competition. The coaching is world class and those you train with become like family. This year we enrolled our children (aged 5 and 3) and they are loving the kids classes. I highly recommend trying this gym.

Some of the best talent Canada has to offer! Coaches Jason and Shawn are both very hands on and detailed in their approach. All of the drills and techniques in class are explained well and thoroughly broken down for everyone. Well spoken and with patience, they usually make it around to spend time with each person on the mats and answer your questions or ideas you have about the technique. They run a traditional feeling structure but manage to also keep things relaxed and never feeling too formal, often joking with the class to keep things fun. Great team of people! Glad to take part!

Great place, atmosphere and instructors. You always feel welcomed. In my experience BJJ has changed my life mentally and physically and couldn't have done it without the awesome team of Genesis Martial Arts and Fitness.

I have had both of my boys train at Genesis now for 6 months or so. I am very impressed with the way the instructors are with all of the kids. I am also impressed with how clean the gym is!! Very professional. I am very happy and look forward to what the future has to offer for my kids as part of the genesis team.

I’ve been training at Genesis for three years, and my experience has been amazing. The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the people in the gym feel like family. They made me feel welcome from my very first day. If you’re looking to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this is the place!

We would really like to enroll our kids in this program but the air quality is very bad. It is full of parents watching and the air is not enough for the kids to practice. I have asked 2 times to talk to someone to see if we can open the windows.... Talking to some parents, they even say that their kids are reluctant to go on summer time due to the air.The shoes at the entrance...make me wonder how kids will be able to leave in case of emergency.I would really like to talk to someone about this and see how this can be fix.Air is key if you are training. The air quality is very poor.I think the environment is very nice, trainers seem knowledgeable but the condition of the gym seems to be desorganized.I have called many times, nobody answers the phone.
