Blossom Seafood Restaurant
Large portions, well-seasoned and beautifully presented. At 11:15am on a Saturday, the restaurant was already quite crowded but walk-in is still welcome with a short wait. Service was quick and friendly. All servers speak and understand Mandarin and Cantonese. We found their dim sums reasonably priced. Most come in 4 pcs but the some buns come in 3 pcs. 12% off on dim sum (with exceptions). Tea $1.5 / head. The glutinous rice ball soup was surprisingly good - rice balls were the right chewiness and came with chicken, Chinese sausage, fish cake, spinach and cilantro. Just like many restaurants do, their Crispy fish paste rice sheet roll contains shrimp.2022-Jan-10 Updates: We keep going back for dim sum. Their special offer M-F is 12% off (with restrictions) for all customers. If you are a VIP card member ($10 1-time cost ), the tea fees are waived, everyday.

extremely noisy, everything downhill compared to 3 months ago. All tea are taateless, food portion are 1/3 size smaller than before, steamed dumplings skins are double size thicker than before, washroom are extremely messy.

Told there’s dim sum so we visited for the first time. This place for dim sum seems typical and standard, nothing stood out. Meaning the concise menu could use some expansion.Service is great and considerate. After directing us, a group of five to one table they told us to move to another larger table on the other side of dinning hall for more spacing. Four (or more) selection of teas. The advertisement on site shows there’s lobster prepared in various ways available later in the day. High ceiling and bright lit dinning hall. Tidy washroom which is a plus.

This is our favourite spot for dim sum in Richmond, it’s definitely better than Chef Tony in my opinion. Food is great, service is good (Chinese standard), good atmosphere, bathrooms are relatively clean. The only downside is parkingThe baked bbq pork buns is a must try, crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside.

Reading the reviews before me, I expected the food to be good and the service to be bad.Food was just okay. I would not return for the dishes I had today but maybe I didn't order the right dishes. Saw a lot of people ordered bigger plates, maybe that's where the good food is at?Our table had blinking light, it was giving us a headache but they wouldn't change the table for us, there were a few empty tables. But to be fair, the empty tables were for 4 people and there were just 2 of us. We waved someone down a few times and were told to wait as someone was coming to fix them. After waiting quite a while, they just turn the light off. The waiter seems apologetic and even came to apologize later that it took a while.Overall, I thought food was nothing special, we only like 1 of the 7 dishes we ordered - the pan fried shrimp&chives pancake. 2 of the 7 dishes were not bad - steamed spareribs with garlic sauce/ steamed pork&pork liver shiu mai (there was no wrapper for this one, I'm not sure why they called it shou mai - literally just steamed pork mixture on a plate with 3-4 piece of pork liver. The rest we would not order again if we do return. The services wasn't bad. They seems to try, some are friendly, but there were really under staffed. It is true that it is hard to get their attention, and no one fill our tea pot without us asking. Our dessert, which seems premade (so it should be quick to come out), took almost 30 minutes including asking someone to check on our dessert.

Tried Blossom’s seafood set approximately $210. Came with a crab and lobster dish along with 4 other dishes (you pick). They were all decent but the fish dish was my favourite. Unfortunately the other seafood had an extended residence in the tank.Lunch for dim sum is where they shine. Fish cake stuffed in pepper or eggplant or anything is where Blossom shines!Service seems adequate.Overall: 3+ stars for dinner and a solid 4 stars for lunch.
