We bought a recliner chair on their tax free weekend, paid in full. They said they will put it away and deliver it with the rest of our furniture when it comes in. When they deliver the furniture there was no sign of the chair. When we asked where it was they said it wasn't there. Told us that it was a misunderstanding and now won't have another chair in until August, remember this was a chair we paid in full!! As far as we know there was no misunderstanding that day we paid for it.

Some fantastic bargains, very knowledgeable and helpful staff and lots of choice.Very well laid out with ideas and helpful ways to see the items for sale as they could look in your own house.

They were friendly and there prices were better then all the other furniture stores. Just waiting now to see how there delivery is

We moved to the Island without any furniture. We have furnished our entire house at Callbecks. The people in store have been a joy to work with... selling us quality furniture, but not pushing us to overspend. Their delivery has been fantastic each time. We will continue to shop here if we need anything else!

Very poor customer service, went in looking for a fridge and stove. Looking at them for about 20 mins fohured someone would come over. They were to busy sitting around talking to eachother. Asked me on the way out the door if i found what i was looking for. Told them i did but i'll buy it somewhere else, where they seem more interested in selling something instead of sitting around.

I have had excellent service at this store. Recently I needed to have an appliance that I had purchased there repaired. The needed part was on back order but the wonderful staff provided a replacement and ensured that I did not have to make do without the appliance even for a day. The service is warm and friendly as if we were long-time friends. I have never been disappointed in a purchase or in any other interaction with this store!

In early August, we purchased a new bed, with the agreement that it would be delivered later in the month, once our floors were completed. I received a call 2 weeks later, telling me that they had “accidentally” sold the bed but that if I would like to come in and take a look at the floor model, they could deliver that one for me. I asked about compensation for it being a floor model and they advised they’d refund my taxes. Not ideal, but I said I’d check out the floor model. On my way to the store, I hear the radio ad saying it’s TAX FREE WEEKEND. So they were offering to give me the floor model bed with my taxes back- it was like we hadn’t even gone in weeks ago. I spoke with Gary (the gentleman we had been dealing with) and asked- being as our bed (paid in full) was sold, there is currently a tax free sale so that isn’t really compensation to me, and I’m stuck with a floor model, would they keep their refund and just throw in a posture board for the bed. That was a no. And Gary did not make any suggestions as to another way he could compensate or make up for the mistake.All in all, we had tried our best to shop in a local business in a time where shipping and delivery from out of province is easily accessible and relatively available. This “misunderstanding” has left a bad taste in my mouth. The same mouth that has no problem sharing my experience. If you’re going to cash and carry, you may have better luck. Otherwise, Leon’s and Birt’s Furniture may be a better option for you!

Very helpful and friendly. I don't find the quality of their furniture very good. Box spring broke in a week and the chairs were poorly made,they were all twisted within a year

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Good quality products for the price.

Staff I spoke to was very unknowledgable and didn't go that extra to help the situation. Asked a simple question on something that was on sale in their flyer and got dunno, we don't carry that model. What? Good bye sale!
