Thursday at about 18h, not too busy. Waitress prompt with menus, pleasant and adequate. I ordered pan-fried Whitefish with dill lemon sauce with seasonal veggies and rice pilaf, husband order bison rib eye steak. The meats were good, not special but good. The fish a bit underseasoned and lacked in the sauce, but otherwise we'll prepared, came out hot. The seasonal veg" was canned or frozen corn niblets - which is unacceptable in July

Their bison rib eye steak is fantastic. I've had the burger form of bison before (not from this restaurant but from elsewhere) and haven't been impressed compared to beef, but having it as a rib eye was a revelation. It was superior to the beef rib eye I've had elsewhere. I'll have to be on a lookout for it at other restaurants now to see if they prepare it as well as this place.

I feel they need to work on their menu more. Their breakfast was good had that one morning. But the dinner meal wasn't impressive. It's better to focus on quality of quantity. If I were them I would have ordered burgers from webers near Orillia. Buy the patties and serve them here even if you need to charge more atleast people will be coming back again and again for more. Tried the salad and it I wasn't able to fish it because it just didn't seem tasty.

Almost 1 hour before we had our food. The mashed potatoes were the worst I've had in my entire life. The waitresses did their best under the circumstances.

The location is beautiful, and the food was good, even though it wasn't quite what we ordered. This is a two day review, dinner and breakfast.As I said the location is beautiful, industrial meets post and beam, with stone work, and Indigenous artwork. The view of the North Channel is great, maybe slightly overgrown, but natural. We had a nice meal, but the evening wait staff was slow, and seemed inexperienced. There was a lot of standing around talking to each other while we, and other tables, wanted to order, eat, and drink. We enjoyed our meal, even though there was a mix up and my wife ended up with the wrong meal, it was still good and actually her second choice. We liked the theme of the dinner menu, wild boar, bison, and wild game sausage, to name a few interesting options.We saw an advertisement for a breakfast buffet the next day so we came back and different experience. The staff was much more attentive, Connie was great, but the food was just normal scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. There was nothing wrong with them, but nothing special. It seemed odd that there wasn't toast at breakfast.We would return, but I'm not going to say this was fine dinning, or something uniquely fantastic; it was okay.

We were here a few times across 3 days. The food was always good and the service was fast and friendly. It wasn't very busy because of the time of year, and we tended to eat dinner early, so we were usually the only people there other than the staff. So.... the table was always the best table with the best view! Couldn't go wrong. :-)

We ordered 2 appetizers and three fish and chips, and one whitefish. All of our food came all at once….. appetizers and entrees all at the same time. Our server Alex never came to check on us. I had to go in and ask for refills on our drinks. Our server was sitting at the bar eating. We would have ordered dessert and another drink but no one came to offer it. The food was good but ruined by lack of caring by our server. Three of the people at our table were local. They were not impressed and stated that they heard it wasn’t a good place to dine.

This is our first time at this hotel and it is lovely, and based on this, we decided to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. This was a huge mistake. We sat at the bar, placed our order and then we waited, and we waited. We were not offered water, so we placed a drink order. Finally a server asked us what we ordered and then she went to check with the kitchen. Our order appeared. We ordered the fish & chips. My husband's order was OK (except he did not receive the side of gravy - which we were charged for) and my order was terrible. I did not receive the coleslaw, (had to ask for it) and my fish was so overcooked that I could not cut it. We had to constantly interrupt the servers and they said they would order another piece of fish. I ate the chips & waited for the fish. We finally cancelled the order - I had lost my appetite at this point. The server did not charge us for one order and the bill had to be corrected for the missing item. It seems to us that there are issues of training, organization, restaurant service details, i.e. half eaten food/plates from previous customers were not removed the whole time we were there. We hope the owners pay attention to these issues, as the hotel is really quite lovely.

Great place to eat in Little Current. If we knew about this place yesterday we would have came here for dinner. The food portions are big and nice friendly staff. Nice view of the water and patio area for the better weather days. Even has view of the swing bridge.
