Do not take your animal here!!! Especially for something as serious as euthanasia!!!! I have been present for multiple and I was shocked at how this place handles it. My boyfriend was putting down his 18 year old jack Russell, appointment at 3:30 so we showed up at 3:25 and they told us they would “let us know when they had a room ready” we had to wait in the parking lot with the dog who was getting increasingly anxious for an extra 20 mins. The vet tech told us that while the dog was taken back for a min the receptionist would come in to get the payment out of the way before the procedure but they never came. The procedure was quick and impersonal, the vet didn’t even confirm with us that he was gone just pet him quickly and left the room. As we were spending a last few mins with him I felt him still breathe so we called the vet back in and he kinda flippantly assured us he passed while he was in the room and didn’t even double check to reassure us. Then we had to remind the doctor the receptionist never came to get us to pay and when she came in she set the debit machine right next to the dog and was also quiet impersonal. Then she asked us if we needed any more time and when we said we don’t think so she scooped him up and took him out of the room. I feel like the way it went just made the whole experience worse.

My friend brought her cat here a week ago and she was charged over 500$ , her cat went home that night and had to be RUSHED to the emergency vet. They completely misdiagnosed her cat and she nearly passed because of it. when confronted about it they rufuse to refund her or even fuss out an apology. These people don't care about your animals or your financial situation. Its one thing to charge alot of money if youre a great vet but these people don't have a clue what they are doing or talking about and will charge you up the a$$ for their horrible services.

Our 9 y/o male cat needed some dental cleaning and possible extractions. We were quoted a price which was all inclusive and were told to bring him in for 7:30 am. That wasn’t possible and we asked if we could bring him in the night before the procedure. Yes, it was possible and at no extra charge! We were very pleased with the results, after care medications and instructions. Our 14 day follow up also went smoothly and our pet was glad to see the carrying case for the trip home!!

Dr. PJ was excellent when he was treating my poor cat that was attacked by another cat. The vet tech was super awesome!!!!! They discovered all the puncture wounds. I'm thankful for their support

Had an emergency and got in no problem. Again the staff is always wonderful, although a bit absent minded this time. One recommendation is more information when giving meds to your animal. Like tell the pet owners, the animal will drool, will sleep alot this is normal. When do we try to feed them and how much? How will other pets react to the sick pet. These are all things we had to google. Also, how to give the meds, I was doing it wrong and traumatizing my cat. Maybe create a FAQ takehome sheet for owners.

I had the sad duty of having to put down our little friend and companion of the last 15 years. I just wanted to publicly thank and acknowledge the love, patience and compassion received from the doctor as well as from the assistants. Their understanding made the task of having to say goodbye just a little easier and turned a sad day into a day of good memories about the staff at Beattie pet hospital. Thank you so much!

Long review for those who want details - TL;DR at the end.We recently needed to bring our dear pup Kennedy to the vet ASAP. It was late Sunday afternoon, and our regular vet wasn't open. I contacted Beattie on Upper Centennial, and they squeezed him in at the last appointment of the day. Good thing too! He needed to stay overnight for evaluation and IV fluids/meds.Here is what I experienced: The staff greeted us promptly when we came in, and put us right in a room (no waiting in the waiting room). The vet came in as soon as the vet tech finished getting the details for our visit, and did his exam. The vet, even though they couldn't say for certain what was causing Kennedy's distress, explained in detail what the two possibilities were, and answered all my questions. They set Kennedy up for blood work and x-rays, which were done right on site, and we had the results in very quickly (under an hour). They assured me that they had systems in place to care for Kennedy overnight (a plan for oxygen and anti-seizure meds if needed), and the morning vet would contact me after the morning's exam. We left him for the night, and were told we could call at any point to check on him. I spoke with the vet in the morning, and he gave me all the information about his stay overnight, and how his treatment was working. I picked him up early afternoon, and he was doing much better, and was obviously well cared-for.Here is how I felt about what I experienced: The staff was exceptionally compassionate and patient. I spent about half of the visit in tears, and the staff was very encouraging that they had seen this before, and Kennedy would be ok. When we were waiting for the results for blood work and x-rays, they suggested we could go for a coffee, but I just couldn't leave Kennedy. They brought in a huge soft comforter for him to lie on and a dish of fresh water, to keep him comfortable while I stayed with him. That meant the world to me. I felt confident in Kennedy's overnight visit, as I knew there was a plan for his care (it didn't hurt he was the only overnight guest"

For the many years that we have been going to Beattie Pet Hospital, we have always had great service. You can request a certain vet if you have a favourite and they will honour that. From our Cooper ‘s first visit to his last, they were very caring. We will be back with our future dogs.

Staff are personable however astronomical prices. If you have deep pockets and want to throw your money away go here. Inquire about what they charge you for, getting a prescription for medication because the pet hospital Does not have the medication you need, will cost you! $100 for you stepping in the door. Your prescription SHOULD be included in your $100 visit! I recommend other pet hospitals in the area who are much more knowledgeable, put the pet first over there wallets and cost less.

I took my puppy for his flea and tick medicine today as I was instructed by his vet to wait due to his age until now. My puppy was weighed and then a receptionist called me to the desk to pay for the medication. I inquired as to the instructions and was told just give it to him I said once a month and she stated it’s only for a month. I stated I was instructed by the vet to wait until now so I could get all the meds to last flea season. She stated I’ll check with the tech and left she came back and said my puppy can have 2 months. So disappointed left without your generous 2 months of medication and will not ever return! I guess they can make more money selling it by the month stay away and read reviews there is a reason for 2.8.
