This store offered one of the best instances of customer service I have had at a home depot in a long time. We are not local, but they had a product in stock that we wanted. From the phone call to confirm the inventory to the final checkout at the store, they were professional, helpful and friendly. Other home depot stores should learn from this one.

There is no limit to the incompetence of the staff at this store. The only thing worse than their customer service is their product knowledge, remarkably.After absolutely struggling to get a large order placed for a deck project(>5k), the wrong composite was delivered. Getting any kind of acknowledgement of the mistake was like pulling teeth. The store staff deflected blame to a 3rd party delivery service, offered only to provide the missing parts upon receipt of the incorrectly delivered materials (16' boards that require a flatbed to move), and made us inventory was was delivered correctly before even attempting to rectify the issue.There was no chain of command to escalate the conversation, and we ended up having to deal directly with the staff member fulfilling orders in the warehouse. Where is a customer service manager to do front end business???We were told multiple times we'd receive calls back that never happened, and could only get any progress amongst the staff with increasing directness and displeasure. I had to ask not to be interrupted during calls multiple times. Perhaps they would be better at helping if they had the patience to hear out a customer issue before deflecting blame and responsibility onto their clientele.Having no help would have been better than what we received as service". If anything the staff only hindered our ability to plan and purchase materials for this project.If I had a single zero-star review to give in my whole life

The Home Depot inventory here is better than the one in Cambridge. Even though I live in Cambridge, sometimes I prefer to drive to this location to get what I need. The plant quality is also superior to the one in Cambridge. We recently bought a maple tree here, and it seems like the trees are twice as big as the ones sold in the Cambridge Home Depot, but at the same price.

Inexcusable customer service:I called in to discuss a return before taking a trip to the store. The receipt specifically stated I had 365 days for the return and we were well within the stipulated period. I was refused the return despite what my receipt stated and was told I could call corporate if I wanted to escalate the matter. I informed the customer service representative I would like to escalate this matter. The CSR called off a telephone number which turned out to be erroneous and when I requested her name for reference she refused to provide it and hung up on me.I would not expect such abhorrent customer service especially from a global multinational company such as Home Depot. Customer service should always exceed expectations not fall far short.

My husband and I are totally impressed with the service we've had by Alex in Lumber and Decking department.Alex has been very polite and courteous every time we have been to the store to work on our deck design. Alex is very knowledgeable about decking and adhered to all our requests designing the deck for us.Keep up the good work Alex! It's been a pleasure dealing with you at Home Depot in Kitchener.

Kaleb at Tool Rentals consistently has been providing us with Excellent Customer Service, every single time. Kaleb is knowledgeable, resourceful, respectful, and patient. We also appreciate another staff member, which is the tallest man there (I'm sorry, I did not get his name). As a business owner, I feel my time and business are valued by these staff. Thank You!
