Good restaurant for Italian. Going here for years, sometimes service and atmosphere can be a mixed bag. This time we were placed near a group of youngsters that were quite loud, whose voices carried throughout the restaurant.Service was good, but the waiter kept coming back and tell us a few times that the wine we wanted wasn't in stock and had no more meet ball pasta. At least They made an effort to find alternatives for us.Overall the food was good, fresh and came to us in a timely matter. I recommend swing by here for a bite.

This is such a hidden gem. We were here last year on our visit to Montreal and had to return. It has such a stunning flower-filled covered courtyard. Unless you go hunting for it you won’t see it.It’s a family run business. Great service and really great food. Such an experience. Very reasonably priced as well. Such a relaxing spot in the the heart of the bustling city. We’ll worth finding.I don’t usually post pictures but my description wouldn’t do it justice.

Gorgeous location, the atmosphere is beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. We had a wonderful time, perfect birthday dinner! Can't wait to come back!

Last Friday, we decided to try Il Cortile. It was our first visit. At first, when walking in, we were a bit confused as the restaurant is located at the end of a narrow corridor. The terrace wasn’t opened yet so we were seated inside. The place is very charming, small and quaint. The food was delicious and extremely hot. The service was equally good. The only thing is that I probably wouldn’t go back unless the terrace is open. Overall a very good experience.

As other reviews mentioned, the atmosphere is great. The interior feels cozy and welcoming - feel like home. It has a vibe of family owned restaurant. Not your fancy modern Italian restaurant. We’re served by James - great service and make accommodations for my order. We had a great time.Food came fast and in time. There’s little waiting time between each dish. Me and my friend had baked eggplant and spinach soup as starters. Both tasted really good. The spinach soup was surprising tasty that it was our first time had this kind of soup at an Italian restaurant.I’m not a fan of undercooked pasta. Their pasta has the perfect softness I’m always look for. It absorbed the sauce so well that the taste lingers in the mouth. Every bite was a joy. We had shrimp/clam spaghetti and meatball linguine. Clams were fresh. Shrimp were a little bit over cooked but overall tasted good. Meatball was well made.I would definitely come back again to try out other dishes. Love this place!!FYI - This place might be a bit hard to find. You need to enter the main entrance downstairs on the street and then walk all the way down the hallway until you see the hostess.
