Donegal Mansions
The Donegal Mansions, erected in 1928 with an Italianate facade, is fronting Memorial Drive with an unimpeded view of the Bow River. This was once a prestigious address for the upper middle class. John Brownlee, Premier of Alberta, 1925-1935, lived here for sixteen years after World War II. The building was severely damaged by fire in 1991 but was subsequently restored.
