Ian Carmichael's Auto Service

Pretty good mechanic! The Carmichaels family are knowledgeable and great. Though, some technicians who work here make mistakes, and simple ones at that... Still, the owners fix all issues free and warranty all parts and labour, so mistakes end up corrected and I never feel like I waste my money coming here. Canadian Tire gave me a quote to fix rusted break lines at $3000, but Carmichaels did the same work for about $500.

I was in kingston from out of town and my car broke down. Not knowing any shops my car was towed to Carmichaels after the great Ian agreed to take me in without an appointment. This wonderful shop took my car in when they were extremely busy, figured out the problem, and sent me on my way all fixed up in just one afternoon. The shop was nothing but friendly, courteous, and helpful. I was in town to take a relative to a doctor's appt and Ian actually gave me a car to run around town while mine was being repaired. The service was 200% I have nothing but good things to say about Ian Charmichaels Auto and his staff. I absolutely would recommend this shop to anyone in the Kingston area. Very pleasant experience here. I was recommended by a coworker after my dealer quoted me $1400 for repairs. The folks here took a look and I was in-and-out in a hour, only short of $140. They took the time to show me my vehicle and what they would repair which was a nice, personal touch.Overall, I am very impressed and will be dealing with Ian Carmichael's from now on!

I’ve had two really great experiences with Ian Carmichaels. Staff have always been kind and explain issues and recommendations openly so that you understand what is going on. No pressure or intimidation. Highly recommend!!
