Beware of this veterinary office if you ever decide to get medical insurance for your pet, they put false information in medical files and don’t even tell you!! I have been taking my animals to this office for over 4 years. Got a new golden retriever puppy and took him there a few different times for his first set of shots, a hot spot, and an upset belly. They had nothing but amazing things to say about him. Great breeding, very healthy, beautiful dog, is all they ever told me. I applied for pet insurance and after they received files from this office they had said he has dental disease and crepitation (bones and ligaments cracking and grinding aka arthritis) he was 11 months old at this time. I switched vets earlier due to driving distance and I had asked my new vet about these things on his file. The vet was completely shocked and said no he has none of those things, he is a very healthy golden puppy. He said dental disease doesn’t even show up until 4 or 5 , let alone an 11 month old puppy!! He even wrote a letter to go to insurance company saying this was all completely false. He has healthy clean teeth and absolutely no bone or ligament issues whatsoever. I emailed and called muskoka animal hospital and they said that vet isn’t with them anymore and they can’t take it off his file. If an issue arises and my insurance won’t cover something they will try and write a letter. Unbelievable… I cannot believe they can write false information, not tell me anything and not correct them when they are proven to be false! I am now not covered for anything to do with my puppy’s teeth, or any bone or ligament issues in the future because they claim it’s a previous condition. Meanwhile I have a completely healthy 1 year old golden retriever. Avoid this vet, go somewhere else.

My poor dog Billy tangled with a porcupine and had a mouth full of quills. Thankfully, Muskoka Animal Hospital was able to squeeze us in. All of the staff were friendly, fast, compassionate and professional. The bill ended up well below the estimated cost and they even suprised me with a follow up call a week later to make sure that Billy was doing fine. Five stars isn't enough. They greatly exceed my expectations.

Great care quality.Staff are always very helpful and cordial and courteous. Technicians are very patient and concise when reiterating veterinarians instructions.Veterinarians are thorough aspects of questions and considerate of dog space.Appointments are hard to get and have to be both well in advance but at the moment this is a universal normal on veterinarians.

Muskoka Animal Hospital is an excellent multi-faceted pet care facility. Most vets cater to dogs, but I take my cat there and have received nothing but caring and exemplary service from everyone including receptionists, technicians, and vets. I am always offered natural alternatives to my pets issues. Full costs for treatment/examinations are always made in advance, and I find their fees to be less than average. The care my feline friend receives is technically proficient and compassionate. They discuss and disclose all treatment options and let me decide what's best for my animal. They provide instant paperwork if you have pet insurance. I recommend them to anyone who loves their furry friends.

They care. And that's what's important. They care about your pet, alot! I love how they welcome cheddar and my cats. What a fantastic team!! The Vets are knowledgeable and know alot about modern techniques.Regarding spay - use the laser treatment. It amplifies healing by 3x. My dog was runing around without incident from day 2.5 stars!

Thank you to every staff member at Muskoka Animal hospital. Radar had a fun day at the vet, saw a few dogs, met lots of loving people.Got her mani/pedi and only hissed a little bit.We both can’t wait to be back!
