I recently purchased Gilboys premium beeswax.I’m a furniture restorer in Perth, Western Australia I have been looking for a natural beeswax furniture polish that’s free of silicone and petro chemicals and all I could find locally was commercial products that do t disclose their ingredientsI did some research and found a number of antique furniture restorers in the uk recommending Gilboys checked them out and they ticked all my boxes.They shipped the same day I paid and had my wax in under two weeks.I was impressed before using they’re product with the speed of delivery and lovely packaging, even included a hand written note.As for the polish you do not need to have any experience with finishing furniture to achieve an amazing result. Just watch their 5 minute you tube tutorial and you’ll get it looking as good as they do.I’ve attached some photos of a mid century chiswell display cabinet I’m working on the finish on this is in excellent condition considering it’s 60 years old however the difference between before and after applying the bees wax polish is night and day.I’ll recommend Gilboys to anyone that wants to revive their cherished furniture.

Fantastic wax, best I've used. Just finished making this chest of drawers in veneered Sapele and finished it with shellac and then Gilboy's Rose Gold wax. Left a beautiful finish, will be definitely be ordering more soon.

With the help of Gilboy's brilliant videos & products, I restored a John Herbert teak veneer coffee table.It was the first time I’ve ever attempted to strip and restore anything. I grew up with this table, which had pride of place in my parents' lounge and was used and abused by a family of six for over 50 years. Although nervous about tackling the job, especially on a piece of family history, the superb videos that Gilboy's produce, gave me the confidence to 'have a go' and attempt to return it to its former glory. I duly stripped it, 3 times(!), and applied hard wax oil for durability, as it will be used now as much as it was through my childhood years. I then finished it off with the rose gold wax. All done following the instructions of a Gilboy's video! I absolutely love the end result, back to just how I remember it. Mission accomplished!Overall, very impressed with Gilboy's as a company, fantastic products & eco-packaging and very informative, helpful videos. Thank you!

I was already a fan of Gilboys products having used their 'Antique Gold' wax which worked wonders on an old chest of drawers. This time I used their new hard wax oil on a bare wood oak bannister with fabulous results - it has a beautiful smooth sheen, and is also completely natural with no dangerous odours which I love. I'm so impressed I am going to re-do all my wooden kitchen counters with it as there's plenty left in the tin!

I was fortunate enough to be the first recipient of Gilboy's Hard Wax Oil in the U.S.! I had just purchase an 18thc. table from auction and wanted to give it a gentle restoration. This Hard Wax Oil was the perfect product for my project. It was extremely easy to work with and provides a beautiful deep rich finish with a satin finish. It was the perfect base for a follow-up coat of Gilboy's Antique Gold wax polish. Best of all, is it is probably something very similar to what would have been used when it was originally built.Thank you Simon for endeavoring to make this product for us!

Having never tried restoring wooden furniture before, I cannot praise the service and quality of Gilboys enough. I watched a video by Gilboys showing step by step how to strip and polish an Ercol table. I then used the chat function on the website to ask further questions, where I was advised on which products best suited my needs. I ordered the 'Pure Gold' clear beeswax polishing kit and a pot of hard wax oil. The products arrived promptly and were brilliantly packaged, with lovely touches such as a couple of packets of flower seeds to attract bees, and a small block of beeswax. There were even handwritten 'thank you' notes in the parcel. I have thoroughly enjoyed using the products to restore an Ercol pebble nest of tables to a light golden finish from a dark wood, which suits my decor perfectly. Many thanks to the Gilboys team.

I’m a complete novice, so did a bit of research before buying Gilboys products.The results I was able to achieve on this Victorian mahogany dining table are beautiful.I struggled with the buffing, due to a shoulder injury, so I bought an electric hand held buffer to finish off.I like that all packaging is recyclable or refillable & the YouTube videos are really helpful.I would recommend & definitely order again.

I purchased Gilboys hard wax oil after a quick Google for food safe hard wax oil" as I had a dining table which had suffered at the hands of my young children. The oil arrived on time with a lovely handwritten note

Managed to bring a Victorian elm stool 'back to life' with Gilboys Pure Gold polish. Used also on an oak dining table with fantastic result.Will definitely be purchasing more in the future
