Sushi Bar Nagomi
I was visiting from Toronto and on a sushi craze. I went to this place two days in a row while in town. This is one of the best sushi places I’ve been to while on the west coast. I only had the chirashi bowl. The fish was very fresh and had a nice bounce to the chew. It wasn’t half thawed or mushy like other places. The service was very friendly. This place is run by a nice Japanese couple. Would highly recommend if you’re passing by.

Sunshine Coast sushi at its' finest - in the heart of downtown Gibsons.A small, quality local establishment with a patio open in the summer. It is a local gem that is well worth the visit. Don't miss the sake tasting flight, any version of the gomae, or anything from the daily fresh sheet.Any of the dinner bento boxes is plenty to share between two people along with an appetizer.Service is always super friendly and top notch.

Decent quality sushi. Mediocre presentation. Coming from Vancouver the quality/price ratio isn’t great. We’ve ordered 2 sushi sets and two miso soups that altogether come to almost $50.Additional star for friendly staff.

I'm amazed that there is an authentic Japanese restaurant on the Sunshine Coast! Found this place on Google and we were not disappointed.They had clam chowder croquette which was SO GOOD!! My friend and I also shared salmon sashimi (super soft and buttery), the sunshine roll, tobiko nigiri, spinach gomae, and the tuna tataki salad. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious.My friend also ordered the sake flight. For $18 you get to try three different types.

The go-to place for our family since we moved here! Great, amazingly fresh and tasty. All the sashimis are fresh. The Spicy Tunafornia roll is a must have, as are the ebi fries. Call ahead for take out but in room is a great experience too!

Amazing sushi and wonderful people.We had both dine in and take out from Nagomi on an extended vacay in Gibson’s. The chefs skills were incredible and the attention to detail in his offerings was beyond yummy.Particular favourite was the crunchy CM nigiri…heaven in a bite.We would definitely go back once on the Sunshine Coast again.Thank you Nagomi.

Good sushi and lovely service in a warm and inviting low key vibe. Ordered hamachi off the fresh sheet and it was excellent.Negative reviews on here either seem to compare it to Vancouver (yeah, it’s not YVR qpr, duh), or are whining about slow service during the pandemic when staffing was an acute challenge on the coast. This place is a regular haunt for locals for good reason.
